Anyone here run at CART CT autoX?
I've seen some 8's on the streets around here, but NONE at autoX yet. I'm hoping that some of the people i see here in Connecticut read this forum, and decide to try out their car at autoX.
www.cartct.com for more info, every other sunday, in bristol, CT. :D :) |
i do, but i have a 7 :), maybe ill c you around

I ran an event last year in my old WRX wagon. I don't know if I'll have time to make it there this year due to all the events up at Ft. Devens in Ayer Ma with 1 Mile courses and smoooth asphalt. ;)

i better see some rx8s there next year
|
I ended up running one event in the 8 during the State Challenge helping CT get the win.
I think I found out I can only handle one event a year there due to the bumpiness and coarseness of the surface. I see more cars break there suspensionwise than any other event I go to with any other club... especially those mini-modified thingies. But I keep going back. ;) |
If you go to FCSCC autocrosses in 2006, I am sure you will see some RX-8s (mine will be one). FCSCC also has a better lot than CART, not big but much better shape (as in not bumpy). They run in Waterbury at the NAUGATUCK VALLEY COMMUNITY COLLEGE www.fcscc.com. They don't have their dates set yet but I can post them as soon as they are set.

I live towards the cape, so getting anywhere in CT is a bear, and most of my events are up at Ft Devens in Ayer MA, but I've been known to go to others, like NNJR and other events on a whim. ;) --kC |
Well getting up to Devens, Ayer MA for some NER SCCA is a little long for me from Shelton, CT. I do plan on doing some events since I hear Devens is a nice smooth and big site. Does NER SCCA have dates for 2006 yet? I only saw a date for the National Tour on June 10th.

Tentative NER Schedule:
April 9th Horseneck Beach, Westport Ma. April 23rd NHIS May 6th Drivers School, NHIS May 7th NHIS May 28th Devens June 10-11 National Tour, Devens June 25th Fun in the Sun non-points event. Venue to be named later. July 9th Devens August 6th Devens August 26th Jeff Gordon Challenge to benefit Race against Leukemia, at NHIS August 27 NHIS Sept 3rd Devens October 22 Devens Stirling Moss Runoff October 29th Horseneck Beach, Team Challenge I'm kinda psyched about the horseneck events again... 20 min away for me. :D --kC |
Oh yeah, Horseneck is much closer for me too. I'll be there. That is great news!
KC, are there any other sites looking good for NER that you can mention? Bruce |
Thanks for the dates KC. The Horseneck Beach events are a real trip for me.
Any idea where you ended up in the Sterring Moss runoff, I know Matt from H stock won. |
7th. My last run was about .8 sec off my 1st two runs and morning run, throwing me out of the 'hunt'. At least I didn't come in 2nd. I don't think I wouldbe able to handle that... again. (Was 2nd place to Matt 2 years in a row). ;)
There was mention at the Annual meeting last weekend of having the fun in the sun non-points event at Quonset Point in N.Kingstown RI. Details are still being worked on that, and that it is a 'maybe'. --kC |
