Good luck. I had initially planned to go, but decided to do the family thing with my folks instead.

Chad D. 07-03-2010 02:27 PM

/\ a family race? I hope you win! :-)

My co-driver and I are the lone CS drivers getting killed. Having car issues (ok we are also getting out driven) :(

Better luck tomorrow

Looks like a nice battle is going on in STX. Congrats to my buddy Nick (Mr. Pockets) who is currently in 2nd. Mike (TopGear8) is just 0.4 seconds back in 7th. Looks like Day 2 could be very interesting.

Nice to see Carter and Jim out there in the SSM RX-7. Fenter was almost alien quick today in the CS MS-R!

TeamRX8 07-04-2010 05:40 PM

Final results up, Mike made a nice improvement today

Ha ha. Good point. Fenter is an alien.

Mr. Pockets 07-05-2010 06:38 AM

Mike did a great job yesterday. I had a bad day. As you can see in the results, I only got slower over my runs. I was completely fed up with being so hot and tired, and I'm sure that I let it get the best of me. I barely remember running. I shot video, but I almost don't want to watch it.

I had hoped to finish in the trophies, though I didn't honestly expect it.

Chris Fenter is, indeed, an alien. He's also a real nice guy. I met many great people over the weekend.

What a weekend. This was only my second time on a concrete surface. Down at Blytheville my car felt amazing, had just the right amount of oversteer to let me rotate it into the corners and still put power down...

Peru had too much grip for the current set up. I didn't realize it until sunday that I needed to stiffen up the rear of the car more because the car was not rotating at all, it was very pushy. After making the adjustments the car felt much better and I got faster. To move from 7th on day 1 up to 3rd I was pretty happy with that. Although these damn civics need to stay in ST

Kenneth and Nick, it was great meeting you guys.

Kennetht638 07-06-2010 07:46 AM

This was a great event even though I didn't do all that well. Being my first Tour, I wasn't expecting too much anyway. At the Test-n-Tune on Friday, my car displayed an unreasonable amount of oversteer and was nearly impossible to drive fast. I dialed in some more rear camber on Saturday morning, and the car became way better than I would have even expected. I kept expecting the car to snap as I got on the gas and it never did and by the time I figured that out, I was out of runs. Sunday was better but I still have a lot of improving to do.

It was nice to put faces (and real names) to names and then to watch them all kick my ass!
