Could the hard steering have anything to do with the steering fluids?
Just taking a guess. |
^its electronic, no fluid needed....

http://www.mazmart.com/PartsList.aspx?id=17&n=USED&m=6 And I agree with Dozer on cleaning the connectors under the air box. |
cleaning the connectors is an easy fix, takes about 20 minutes of your time, and if you do it right everything should be fine
|
Dozer is right...............gotta try those connectors before just assuming it's the module.
Let me find that thread with the nice pic in it to show you where the connectors are! Here it is! Read this thread fully. https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...light=steering |
thanks
thanks for all the replys iam gonna try to clean the connectors before anything else then hopefully it works
|
^................Make sure you let us know, so we can use it as a further reference. Hopefully that will be it!
Contact cleaner is the way to go, but get them clean and dry. If it works, then start thinking about lengthening that coolant overflow hose! Just don't go by what the dealer tells you. |
hey guys i looked at the pic of what iam suppose to be looking at and today i open the hood any advice where the connectors are next to looks kinda complicated im no mechanic lol

So, you looked at this pic?
It's the gray connectors and they would be really hard to see as they are located pretty low. The best way to find them is to take out the intake box to give you good access to them. If you aren't sure about how to do that or don't feel like you can attempt it, then find someone who can. Print this picture out, give it to them and point! Have them unplug these connectors, clean the contacts real good and plug them back in. This would still be well worth it if it cures the issue. |

in some cases it's not the connectors ............. trust me I wish it were the connectors =[

awesome
thanks for the pic just what I need it gotta print this out
|
check your battery connections too. i had one that got corroded and when i replaced that, i was good to go. probably not the culprit but worth looking at them anyway.
|
^...................yeah, I think the goal here should be to eliminate most(if not all) of the easy possibilities before going after the module or the rack itself.
|
today
today I'll be doing the cleaning on the connectors I'll let you guys know how it went
|
Chances are that it's the connectors. Mine had so many problems that CRH wiried them direct. No problems since.

I also had to remove a Revi to get to them, but hey how long has it been since you re-oiled the filter?
