Wtb: Gps/ navigation flip up door

Anyone selling or know where I can get the GPA/NAV flip up door setup? I dont need the nav, just the empty flip up door to put my own GPS inside of.

Dealer says I have to buy the entire GPS unit just to get the door. Ridiculous.

Thanks

I've seen em on ebay and car-part.net in searches. Usually sell pretty high. There's a guy selling his here in the the FS forum, but not sure if its sold yet.

I would suggest the manual flip up hood over the automagic one for price alone. $250 for the manual...$600 or so used for the automagic.

But the auto pop up is sooooo much sweeter :)

Personally I would suggest http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...up-screen.html if you feel confident in your fabbing skills I think this looks even better than the OEM nav hood does. Interesting build thread too if you were considering a carpc.

That looks exactly like OEM, just w/out the buttons that open/close the unit. Very nice job on it too.

Most people can't fab that well. If you just DONT have the money or you have alot of extra time on your hands, I would look into this, otherwise keep an eye out on a good deal. Not everyone is trying to get DEALERSHIP prices out of their sell.

Look for deals away from this board and you'll find better prices in regards to the navigation hood. car-part.com is probably your best bet.

Yup, that would be it. I dont need the whole motor setup but wouldnt mind it if its easy to setup. I would also need the surrounding dash piece that this hood clips into which I dont see in this pic.

Any updates on where one of these can be found for less than $8,973,759,832.99

I have an OEM nav hood complete with display, motor, etc. I would sell for $300 plus shipping...

Let me know if you're interested.

If it came with all the wiring harnesses and nav console control Id say sure. Some models have been prewired to accept the nav, some have not. My model (R3) does not have the nav option, hence no wiring in the car.
