WTB ------------------- a front leather BRA
Hey guys I'm looking to buy a leather bra for the car because the winter is harsh. Please someone help me LOL.

Well... I'm torn. I have a leather bra with very light use and the portion that goes onto the hood....
However, there are 2 problems.: 1. All the mounting snaps are still on my car (and I really don't want to take them all off) so you would need to find someone with those. 2. The leather bras are hell on your paint and finish. When wet, they hold the moisture against the paint and can cause discoloring. AND, in a salty area, the salt when get down there when wet, and when it dries, its like salty sand paper grinding against your car. The previous owner gave me the bra to the car when i bought it from him. I had the hood portion on for about a month before I started to notice a paint discoloration so I took it off..... So... uhhhh, we got a deal?:eyetwitch |

I have a bra with all of the attachment hardware sitting in my garage. It was only used for one winter and looks brand new. I have the one that fits with the aero package. I have a clear bra installed now, however the black bra does a good job as long as you keep the surface underneath clean and keep a good coat of wax. I live in eastern PA, near I78 if you are interested in purchasing. I would say $50.

This sounds a littel better... but someone once told me that the paint gets dull after like a year or 2. and you must remove the clear bra and repaint the entire bumper. Is their any truth to this?
and you have the mazdaspeed front end. big whoop. so it'll take an extra hour. what needs to happen is to buy a large sheet. in a roll. and then cut it out custom. still no sweat. if we start at 12, we should be done by 4. 5 absolutely latest. |

aww, damn, lost a possible sale. :squint:
I had a clear bra that I gave to one of my local forum members - I couldn't use it because it is pretty noticeable on black cars... I would go for the clear bra. |
yeah, its best to apply clearbra when its hot out. 85+ degrees. and you need a hair dryer/heat gun.
