WTB: Clutch Neutral Safety Switch
 

Looking for the neutral switch so the engine doesn't rev up and down when the clutch isn't pressed while in neutral. Dealer wants $80. Will pick up in San Diego or southern Orange counties.

If you haven't verified that it is actually the switch itself, then check the wiring connectors laying against the side of the transmission and the switch and wiring above the clutch pedal. It is far more common for those to have a problem than it is for the switch itself to fail, and the fix at that point is usually free.

Just a tip that might save you money. :)

Edit: The CEL doesn't know the difference between the switch failing and the wiring getting messed up.
