WTB: Climate control fan knob

I've had my 8 since July of 04 and this is probably the 4th time the damn thing has broken. I'm not being rough on it, it's just crappy quality IMO. Does anybody have a car they're parting out that has the control knob? :banghead:

Thanks,

RM

I bought a temp control knob from mazmart or one of the other forums (I don't remember) for like 35 bucks. Still steep for a plastic knob, but better than the dealer price.

After 4 years of my rough hands my volume control for my ac (knob) broke!!!!!
I need to get me one of those!! Sooo mazmart would have them?

how much they want for it at the dealer??? just bein curious :)

Another local broke his and picked his up from the dealer for $50. (and he had to go pick it up!) I could be mistaken though.

I'm 90% sure I ordered mine through mazmart. Just go post in the vendor forum and see what you get. I know mine was new in OEM mazda packaging also.

Yeah, I've had both knobs replaced at the stealership and they charged me $55 each. No luck finding them on mazmart's site, but I'll see what I can find in the vendor forum. Thanks for the tip.

Just post in their forum and they'll PM you.

there are 3 solder points on the control board itself. there is an easy fix on the forum if you search.

unless you're talking about just the plastic knob

I bought one not too long ago from trussville mazda, a discount parts dealer. I think it was around $40 including shipping. The temp control knobs that came with the 04's were very wimpy. The newer version has much thicker plastic behind it so it should hold up much better.
