OEM Wheels (w/TPMS!) + 245 BFG R1s
Full setup perfect for track days. Sold my 8. :(
OEM 18" wheels w/ TPMS installed. 245/40-18 BFGoodrich R1 Tires. Great shape, 1 qualifying session on a Mustang and one track day on the RX8. The one that was on the outside front has a touch of shoulder wear, but even the grooves are still pretty deep, so there is plenty of meat left. Was $800 now $700 + shipping on wheel / tire package. Look at all that grip! http://i56.tinypic.com/263zyw6.jpg FYI - the actual apex was about 10 yards further up, but don't tell anyone, because that picture looks cool. :icon_no2: |
How much for just the set of front and rear pads ?

Meaty!
http://i54.tinypic.com/2n0la2q.jpg Meaty! This is the wear dot for the worst edge (top tire in the above pic) http://i55.tinypic.com/dgiadh.jpg Rubber mallet / wood scraps not included. |
Sounds good, let me know if it doesn't work out.
Let me see if I can find some "Fin du Monde" (End of the world) Unibroue beer. :) |
Sale pending on the brake pads.
I have no use for the wheels / tires anymore. Want them gone. How about $800 plus shipping? |
Are you selling just the wheels?
|
I'd rather sell as a package, since they're mounted / balanced / ready to hit the track. If I get no bites I'll have to separate. Stay tuned.

Let me see if I can find some "Fin du Monde" (End of the world) Unibroue beer. :) La Fin du Monde, Trois Pistoles, and Maudite are pretty easy to find. Quelque Chose and Ephemere are much more rare here in Detroit. Buy these tires and put your RX8 on the track. Best thing I ever did with the car. |
Did I mention that the wheels are in really nice shape? Not concours, as they do have a rash or two and did see a Michigan winter or two as well. But really, really nice:
http://i52.tinypic.com/b7hobq.jpg The tires are in great shape too. The "dot" in the below picture is the wear indicator. Still pretty darn close to full tread depth. http://i53.tinypic.com/sphdlv.jpg Close up of the grooves on the tire. When the grooves are gone the tires still have life left. http://i56.tinypic.com/s12tdi.jpg Surprised these aren't gone yet. Price drop to $700 + shipping. |
Where in MI are you located? I'd be very interested in JUST the wheels.
|
I'm in Dearborn, but pass right by Troy on my way to/from work.

I would be willing to make the drive if you do not find someone who wants the wheels and tire combo. Pm me a price sans shipping.

Still for sale.
|
...check PM?
|
have these sold?
Will the TPMS work on a 2010R3? Thanks |
I want the wheels! Sell me just the wheels and give him the tpms
|
lol cabrone if you want them you should probably get them. I wish someone with wheels was as close to me in IL
|
I want them but he is not willing to separate them and not countering my low (admittedly) offer
|
Well, they're not doing me any good sitting in the garage. These things need to go.
Chika, according to Amazon.com, the TPMS is the same on almost all Mazda vehicles. Most importantly, the same for the 04 and Series 2 RX-8. I'd strongly prefer not to separate, so if you are serious, let me know. I'll split shipping if you don't want to make the drive up. Cabrone, if Chika doesn't want the package, I'll separate them out for you. |
sounds good. You have additional PM. Craft beer! lol
|
how do the wear marks on slicks work? when those pockets are worn all the way down the tires are done?
