Radiator Fan
Was swapping in a new radiator and found signs that my radiator fan is going bad. Figured I'd replace it now while I have everything out. New units with shroud are over $200 and aftermarket units are usually not as good as OEM but if I have to go that route I will...
I'm in VA and would love somebody localish so I can check the fan first.... Let me know what you've got :) |
I would not buy used fans but you can possibly get a low mileage unit from Mazmart: Your wise choice for Mazda parts. In business since 1980., Revvinsevvins.com - Home, or The Partsgroup - Mazda Miata & RX8 Used Parts.

I'll check around those links (been looking since yesterday).. there isnt anything wrong with used OEM fans, but I'd like to handle it first to check it if possible.

Coolant leaks tend to damage them but you shoudl be okay with a low mileage unit. It's a pretty important piece to try and skimp on. I made that mistake once by running the Mizu fans.
Oh and the 09+ fan setup is better so try and go with that if you go OEM. |
The parts group has a good set, but they're out until the 1st, lol... go figure :)

I have one that has 40k on it. Would be willing to sell for 50 plus ship. It came off my front end I bought. If you would want to take this route.
