FYI, the white spots don't actually mean anything when present on the coils.
You can have massive white spotting, but the coils still function perfectly fine, and you can have failing coils without white spots at all.
I'd recommend testing the coils with a coil tester ($15 at a local autoparts store) to validate that you tossed out the right coil(s), and you don't inadvertently sell someone a bad coil.
