JDM Headlight Auto on/off switch.

1 Attachment(s)
Attachment 237345Up for sale is a JDM Rx8 OEM headlight auto on/off sensor.

It automatically turns on/off your headlights and lets you control how dark/light you want it to turn the headlights on and off at. Also has a toggle for enabling it or disabling it.

Asking $40. Ill grab a pic as soon as I go back to my garage.

bren5279 01-18-2012 09:47 PM

there we go.

jtripp06 01-20-2012 08:40 AM

was there an actual place for this in our cars?

bren5279 01-20-2012 09:07 AM

it goes on the right side over by that little plug on the dash. the plug pops out and the wire goes though that hole.

bren5279 01-20-2012 07:10 PM

For those of you who asked, since its an OEM part, it does not void your warranty.

batangisip89 01-20-2012 10:14 PM

It what market was this available on our cars? (just curious)

spgcyn 02-06-2012 11:58 AM

Japan has it.

but I think we need a bit more than just the sensor for it to work.

SauerKraut 02-07-2012 07:51 AM

Were you able to get it wired up and working? If so I'll take it assuming not too many extras are needed

Yeah it actually came off working just fine, parted the car out. no extras needed whatsoever, you just run the wires through the plug hole then clip them onto the control wires in the column and screw on the ground.

Pm me if you want it.

Is this a feature for halogen or hid lights?
If it's for halogen lights I'm very interested!

bren5279 02-07-2012 10:47 AM

its both, it just taps into the wires that go to the switch for the headlights on the steering controls

I have quite a few projects to do on the 8 with a deadline that keeps racing closer, but when I get this thing I'll post up pics for sure. I'm gonna deactivate my DRL's (canadian car), and do the fog light as DRL mod. Looking forward to it.
