Greddy Turbo, Mine finally died.. /sadpanda
 

Ok, My greddy turbo is smoking away, no longer making boost. Is there anyone that has one for sale? or a place I can find a cheap rebuild?

how long did it last and do you know what sized restrictor you had in the oil line ?

Oil Inlet Restrictor - .065" hole size 1/8" NPT (for Journal bearing and larger GT BB)
It lasted about 20,000 miles. I had my girl with me in the car, going to to movies. In the back parking lot, I hammer on the gas and slid right into my parking space. (Hey It looks pretty cool)
Go in and see a movie. come out. Not making any boost.. So I give it more gas, and hear the awful whirring noise of a turbo dying. I see smoke coming out of the tail pipe. I knew then it was dead. I drove it home with light throttle. only smoking when I stopped.

Can anyone point me to a rebuilder or cartridge kit?

Do these specs look correct for our greddy turbo?

Compressor Wheel : 50.5 / 68 mm ( 6 x 2 Blades)
Turbine Wheel : 55 / 65 mm ( STD TD06 / 12 Blades )
