Full Titanium Exhaust

3 Attachment(s)
I picked up this exhaust as part of a bulk trade but I don't think I will end up using it. I don't know too much about it. The previous owner said it came from a speed source prepped car and judging by the quality of tip and tube fitment I have no reason to doubt it. It is one continuous piece from header flange to exhaust tip and was told it was VERY loud. The are hangers on it in the factory locations, but no provisions for oxygen sensors. The whole thing weighs 15-20 pounds at most

Local pick up would probably bee needed, but if requested, after payment I could cut it in half for shipping if you knew a good welder.

Interesting... It would be great if anyone can confirm the legitimacy of the item. TeamRX8 perhaps? Good luck with selling. :icon_tup:

Id happily invite a third party over for a beer and to confirm. It's definitely function over form since it isn't polished or anything. Not sure how I could prove it visually though.

SayNoToPistons 03-25-2014 11:49 PM

Damn nice welds.

yomomspimp06 03-26-2014 03:04 AM

man, I wish you were closer

snowrydr01 03-26-2014 05:53 AM

since there are no markings, I was hoping that picture would speak to the quality of it.

I am willing to ship this, but it would definitely need to be cut, so you would need to know a good welder to put it back together

yomomspimp06 03-26-2014 06:02 AM

the main concern is welding... I hear Titanium is a pain to weld and I know that paying for someone reputable to do it would bring the cost way over what I am willing to spend after adding shipping

yomomspimp06 03-28-2014 04:15 PM

more details of "race parts" please

TrickWilliams 03-28-2014 04:21 PM

^^^^ +1! Im in line

Joe814 03-28-2014 05:04 PM

Race parts??? :-)

snowrydr01 03-28-2014 06:17 PM

"track parts" might have been a better description. I have an autopower cage, racing beat springs, racing beat front sway bar, carbon mazda speed front strut brace, aluminum mazda speed rear strut brace, a set of racaro seat adapters bolted to factory slider brackets.

I was planning on using some of the parts, but with 7 months until another baby and a huge list of projects, im certainly open to entertain offers.

Getting rid of the titanium exhaust was priority one though since it takes up so much room and i know im never going to use it.

Redshift 03-28-2014 07:42 PM

Interested in Mazdaspeed strut braces when you get around to it.

Joe814 03-29-2014 08:53 AM

Dibs on the cage!

snowrydr01 03-29-2014 09:52 AM

Shoot me PMS with offers, ID still like the exhaust to stay the focus

snowrydr01 04-03-2014 05:50 PM

New price $200. I want this out of the garage.

stigma8 04-07-2014 10:28 PM

Cage and exhaust sold to me. I'll try and post. Video tomorrow

snowrydr01 04-08-2014 08:08 AM

Id love to hear it too

stigma8 04-08-2014 10:03 PM

Exhaust was installed today, have to say it was a pain because the flange from my turbo downpipe and flange from exhaust didn't meet flush it was kinda like a pyramid loll. Anyways It took all day but I made a wedge like flange and then it all just bolted up. Have to say it's pretty loud but it's deep, no rasp at all and one of the lightest exhaust I have felt . titanium is definitely the way to go. I'll upload video as soon as I get the change to record one.

TeamRX8 04-25-2014 08:33 AM

Doubting this was made by SS with the collapsed kink bend in the middle of pic 2.

Just because it is light doesn't make it Ti either. The appearance seems more like light gauge stainless of some type

snowrydr01 04-25-2014 09:07 AM

That was a shadow in picture 2, there were no kinks. It wasn't a light gauge material either, it was very stout. While im no metallurgist, to get that much metal and weigh around 15 pounds I had absolutely no reason to doubt the person I got it off of when he said it was TI. It wasn't polished it was clearly created for function.

The guy who bought it said it sounded nice with his turbo and when he took the turbo off was loud as hell.
