FS: Redline Oil

I have 2 cases (12 quarts in each) of 10W30, and 9 quarts of MTL.

This is a Group V full synthetic, unlike Mobil 1, Castrol Syntec, or any of the other mediocre Group III oils.

Each quart is sealed from the factory, by the way.

$7.00 a quart. Compare this to online or local of around $9 to $10/qt. I'd prefer to sell the motor oil by the case as each one is still sealed.

Local sales preferred, but will ship at your expense.

25 miles northwest of downtown Chicago.

Price drop & pics

How's $6.50 per sealed quart of freakin' Redline? Compare to between $8 to $10 online!

Pretty sure that both take 2 quarts each. I'm not sure, but I don't think that MTL goes in the diff. (I know my FD uses 75W90, not sure on our 8s)

Is Vancouver a pretty mild climate? If so, you may be better off with Redline's MT90 in the gearbox. I don't really want to sell you the wrong fluid.

Will get a quote for you by tomorrow evening. Though my hunch is that it'll be a lot and will kill the smokin' deal on this stuff. We'll see...

True, I've got 2 cases of engine oil. But, there are 9 quarts of trans fluid pictured; nevermind that they're mentioned specifically in the 1st post.

Been running across your threads all day...take a little time and read up on some of the oil threads. Believe me it will help you make a decision. If you want someone to just tell you what oil to use I will...I use Redline 50WT race oil during the summer months here in NC and Royal Purple 10W30 in the winter.

Sorry to the OP for thread jacking...bump for a great product! I love Redline fluids, if I had the spare cash I would take everything you have right now.

I would get 3 for the transmission to be safe. Both times I have done mine 2 BARELY filled it.

Trans only takes 1.8 quarts, that's it. I use 2 full quarts, anything more than that will cause some serious damage.

But depending on what pump he uses he may spill some and the pump may not get every last drop out. I haver done transmissions on quite a few 8s and two quarts is pretty much always just enough to make it barely come out. All i'm saying is with two if you spill any your screwed.

Can't you just fill the transmission by pouring in fluid where the shifter is? Then it should be a little more difficult to spill/not get it all in.

You wouldn't if you found out how much shipping is.

I just sent PM to Dsire in Vancouver and gotta say here that unless you're within close driving distance of Chicago it's just not worth it to pay the insane shipping charges on heavy oil.

Great deal for someone if you're less than maybe 2 hours away. Sucks for me to say this, but everyone else would be better off going on Redline's site and finding a local vendor.

Anyone within an easy drive from Chicago, this deal blows away anything you'll find online or at a local vendor!

Surprisingly almost no interest, so...

If you take the full case (12 quarts) $6 a quart, otherwise $6.50 ea

MTL @ $6.50 ea (online is $10 to $12 + shipping)

Somebody jump on this!

I'm possibly interested in 3 quarts of MTL for my Miata. It is a GL-4 fluid, correct? Not a GL-5?

Yes, both MTL & MT-90 are Gl-4. The 75W90 for the diff is a GL-5.

Sent you PM back, MDW.

I should become a distributor for this stuff, no?
