Me too!
But other on here are gonna say that you can make it for like $0.50 at Home Depot. In my opinion, I would rather have this one and do have this one!

Mazurfer 12-05-2007 10:38 PM

Guys, you won't see this......it fits up under the car in front of the radiator. It's behind the grill piece and pretty much out of site.

BigRed 12-05-2007 10:38 PM

G3tR3DDY2GR3DDY 12-05-2007 10:40 PM

That was kinda for Myardor since he kind of implied by his post that it was on the front of the car and I couldn't decide if he thought it went in the grill area.

G3tR3DDY2GR3DDY 12-05-2007 10:43 PM

ah gotcha- hey mazurfer pming you...

Thanks Mazurfer. I wanted the one like in the pics below

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mazda...spagenameZWDVW

also on the pic in my above post

Wud it be too much....to have both this one and the one in the pic?
since this one is not seen but only for protection?

BTW, the moonroof deflector you sold me has been to a few places.
from Houston to Austin to Leakey via the twisty back roads.

G3tR3DDY2GR3DDY 12-06-2007 12:23 AM

 i still dont think he understands... oh well its mine anyways! in yo face!

Myardor 12-06-2007 01:08 AM

Oh i got it, well u now have it.
I understand what mazurer said>>>you won't see this......it fits up under the car in front of the radiator. It's behind the grill piece and pretty much out of site.... sight!! close enough

I want LOOKS and this one is just for protection of the radiator. I dont think I need that..remember it adds weight hahahah

Is that rusted screws that I see?

Myardor 12-06-2007 03:47 AM

The reason I want grill inserts, front/back is this
looks too dark from the rear
see my car on the Austin- Leakey run
its the copper red one.

Only the license plate gives some light/color
So I figured silverish grill insert would make the car stand out a bit
Yes, if the taillights were on, it would be ok.

If it looks that dark from the rear, guess the front also looks that dark.

it wouldn't matter even if there were (which i really don't see). for this price a couple cents at home depot to pick up a couple screws to math would be well worth it if the screws have a little rust that bothers you. this certainly isn't for looks as you figured out. this is a good piece of insurance for a small price. if your radiator takes a rock to it and breaks it will not be replaced under warranty.

G3tR3DDY2GR3DDY 12-06-2007 09:56 AM

sending payment for these now...

Myardor 12-06-2007 11:17 AM

My 06 has bottom cover, thick heavy plastic. Protects the radiator and all the other bottom/front stuff
Don't all 8s have that?

The only place a rock could come thur is the grill. So using grill inserts should stop those rocks...somewhat. Maybe not a big big one.

No, the rust on the screws did not stop me from buying. As I said, I want looks. A little rust remover from WallyWorld would solve the rust problem.

tdiddy 12-06-2007 11:58 AM

The funny thing about that rust is that it was there when I bought the screen. Anyway, the screen is sold.

chetrickerman 12-06-2007 12:14 PM

i could care less about the A/C radiator, as long as my engine radiator and oil coolers are safe, im good

Mazurfer 12-06-2007 04:38 PM

Yes Myardor, they all should have it(the black plastic shroud). The area that is going to take a rock is down in front by the front Mazda accent piece. That V shape emblem.....that whole center section is open unless you plan on screening that. Most if not all 8's come from the factory with a stock radiator screen(mine did) it's just that the RB is bigger and covers more area.

G3tR3DDY2GR3DDY 12-06-2007 05:33 PM

plus you can put it in your sig... we all know thats most important.. cmon now :)
