FS Pettit Racing Stage II CS Supercharger System

2 Attachment(s)
Here it is guys. Selling the complete Pettit SC kit. It comes with a upgraded billet bypass valve (originally plastic), a new belt, all the gaskets, and hardware. I bought the kit from race roots sometime ago and put maybe 7k on it. Brice bought the kit with an 8 with a blown engine, parted the sc and sold it to me. Unfortunately it was missing a few pieces and had a destroyed bypass valve. I've completed the kit with parts directly from Pettit Racing, minus the hardware (screws, nuts, etc.) which I got at a local hardware store. The kit will come with the PCM flashing device. You will need to send it to Pettit to have it re-programed for your VIN. As I have mentioned this is a complete kit, even comes with instructions :).
First person with cash in hand gets the kit. I will need up to a week to box the kit and ship it.
SOLD

Thanks

Other than the fixes you mentioned, any issues to get the kit running? Dyno? Does Pettit charge for the flash?

No issues with the kit. At first I missed a check valve during installation so I had vacuum problems, fixed that and it ran fine. No dyno though. Not sure if Pettit charges for a tune, but i doubt it. Cam at Pettit is very nice guy and should hook you up.

mscamp02 03-25-2010 08:45 AM

rotr8 sold me on this kit an year ago and I tried to find a used one then, where were you then?

ZumnRx8 03-25-2010 09:03 AM

^!!!

mscamp02 03-25-2010 09:14 AM

^zumn you should scrap your whole turbo idea and go for this

quazmosis 03-25-2010 09:16 AM

Could one get this kit, Then get the AP from MM, and retune it to one's car?

mscamp02 03-25-2010 09:18 AM

If I remember right I dont think that is the best option, the flash from petite racing is the best way to get a good tune for this kit, but Ill let rotr8 chime in soon on that one

ZumnRx8 03-25-2010 09:23 AM

MSCAMP I was really really thinking about it, but replacement parts for the Turbo Kit will be much easier to get than the PETIT Supercharger NO? I plan on running the stock Greddy until the turbo goes or my engine, and then upgrade to BNR . + where I live in Cali, its easier to black out a Turbo kit and intercooler and not get popped by a cop telling you to pop your hood, and being rotary it'd be easier to get away with turbo since the RX7 came with it, Rather than get your Hood Popped and a Big as SC with "PETTIT RACING" on it. :lol2: ya know what I mean? But yeah, Im sure the Money I will spend is going to be about in the same price range as this Kit.

mscamp02 03-25-2010 09:32 AM

Are they that strict on FI applications in cali? and yeah it does make a lot of sense just to stay your current route for parts.

My reason for wanting one was that I live about 9 or 10 hour drive away from petits shop in florida so I was just gonna drive down there take it to them have them install/tune and visit family while I was there lol

^I was putting gas in my car at a Chevron Gas Station, Some Cops that were sitting in their car in the parking lot enjoying their Donuts or w/e were staring at me the whole time. Once I was done putting gas, they pulled me over? :wtf:? They ask me what that Big Pipe was sticking out of my front bumper. I responded "An Intake". They asked me to Pop my hood, So I Did. They then said "Why does it have two stickers for C.A.R.B.?" I told them "no it doesn't, one is just the Manufacturer's Logo, and one is the Manufacturer's logo with the C.A.R.B. approval number." then I told them... "its an intake, all it does is suck in air"....Being a Rotary and having lots of engine bay space, they kept looking for the Turbo..because thats what they asked me. "Is this car Turbo'd?" I then told them "I wish it was, the RX7 before it was turbo'd"....The face that I didnt have a front license Plate either didnt help, but I had it in my trunk. LOL:rofl: Another normal day in Cali. Im glad for Sti's, Evo's, and SRT4's now cops are

ZumnRx8 03-25-2010 09:41 AM

getting used to seeing Turbo'd cars around and popping hoods much less.

ronx8 03-25-2010 09:45 AM

yes you can retune it with cobb ap.
i'm almost 100% positive phil's rx8 has cobb with his.

of course, i would get it tuned by MM.

mscamp02 03-25-2010 09:46 AM

haha so glad I'm not living up there, yeah it may be easier to hide and blackout your intercooler and turbo setup then the raised lettering on the petit SC

ZumnRx8 03-25-2010 09:47 AM

^My sister has A house in Vegas, Im trying to get her to get me some plates, nothing is illegal in vegas right? :)

mscamp02 03-25-2010 09:55 AM
