FS - Carbon fiber splitter + hardware
For sale is a brand new, never used carbon fiber splitter. This is a universal piece and you can cut it/form it to any bumper you guys have thrown on your 8'. I originally bought it for my SAAB, but that car has been sold. I was going to use it on my 8, and I actually really want to - but I need the money right now. It's more then wide enough for the RX8, and it looks like there would be enough material left over to use for some other pieces like canards, etc. The rods are fully adjustable, and the rubber stripping covers the edges of the board after you cut it.
This was bought and shipped from the UK, for 210GBP, not including shipping. (Shipping was 50gbp). This all works out to $426, or $344 not including shipping. I'm trying to sell it for $270 shipped. I don't know how much shipping will cost, but 270 shipped seems like a pretty good deal. I'll do it for 240 if you can pick it up locally. Here's the pics! Let me know if you guys have any more questions. Sold Also, here's a link to the website. http://www.carbonmods.com/ Anyways, here's the pics! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v8...vm_03fd428.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v8...xm_9e40a11.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v8...ym_ff0984f.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v8...8/IMG_1305.jpg |
i may be interested, how wide is it like when its applied to the bottom of a bumper ( how much closer will it make my car sit to the ground?)

I had read a relevant topic that MM had written about this once, but I can't seem to find the post. Basically, he was said that the single most effective thing to do to improve cooling on this car is to install a splitter according to his findings. |
none of your pics work.

so hold up,
so this universal? |

The board is only maybe a 1/4" thick, it's not going to make your car lower, though it will force more air to go into your grill/radiator/intercooler (if you're lucky) instead of going under the car, and create more downforce.

Wait what? Does this replace the stock airdam? The way you are describing it sounds like it goes under the bumper right? But we have that stock lip/airdam that is in place there.

You need a picture that shows the WHOLETHING not just the upclose shots

i am one of few ppl who have the apr ones on my car and it was not universal i had to send them a mold of my bumper and they cut the carbon themselves
Attachment 272800 edit: lookin at his it could be used on any car but as long as u can cut the carbon without screwing it up edit #2: also i bought brand new one from apr pre cut for 290 |
That looks pretty good. It shouldn't be a problem at all to cut this, especially because any imperfections won't be seen. I'm surprised they didn't make your stick out a little further though! But maybe they didn't deem it necessary.
240 shipped, 200 local pickup. |
bump
I won't be online but I can check my PM's through my phone if you want to get in contact with me |
