73mm Bore, you'll need hubcentric rings to mount them properly. |
You still have an RX8?

i always wondered... what happens if you don't mount them with the hubcentric rings?
|
If you torque the lugs down correctly, nothing.
If you don't torque them down correctly, you can get all kinds of vibrations ranging from annoying to downright scary. Theoretically, you can also damage the wheel, hub, or other parts of the car. I've been running wheels with 73mm bore without rings for a long time with no problems. Just snug the lug nuts down as tight as you can in a star pattern while the car is still lifted. Then, lower the car and torque to spec. Helps to have an impact gun (even if it's a weak sauce Harbor Fraught cordless). |
