Double din dash kit for '04
 

I'd like a matte black double din dash kit without all the extra Metra electronics. Just the plastic panel that holds the radio and the hazards and hvac controls.

Anyone able to help me out here?

It doesn't look matte. Does it say that somewhere on there?

Edit: I emailed the seller the other day. It's not matte.

Yeah that's true. Does anyone know if I can modify a single din kit to hold the double? Like cut out the storage bin underneath? Would the screw holes line up properly?

lol, that's way more work than just getting the gloss double din and painting it matte black!

Let me take a picture for you in the morning to make sure its what you want. It's matte tho so I'm sure its right. But youll get a good idea

So I pulled apart my dash. It's actually a double din in there! It's glossy though. If you're interested, I'd still like to trade.

So my glossy double din is a bit scratched up. I wouldn't feel right trading for a matte in good condition. I'll just use the glossy till I get sick of it or find a good deal on a matte one.

I've used a couple Metra kiss and that looks like the dash piece that would come with it so I assume it would work just fine.

It's a lot more money because it comes with the electronics needed to make the upper display work. I'm sure if it's just the dash piece itself it should cost much less and be of the same quality.
