Custom Pettit Supercharger

This is a custom Pettit supercharger kit. It has less then 4000 miles on it with a Mercedes ported intake backing plate, low profile intercooler and retro fitted stock air box with built in coil brackets and factory internal velocity stack retained. It was fitted for a s2 but I do have the s1 bracket so it will fit either model engine. If you have the proper management for the s2 this is your kit. The management I used wouldn't let the me get past 4k due to injector stagger issues so keep that in mind. That also means this kit has not seen high rpms. The reason I'm selling is I'm upgrading with a new build. I'm starting the price at $6500 or best offer. I'll keep it up for 2 weeks before I decide who gets it so make your offers. I'll also install it so keep that in mind when making your offers. I'd recommend that method because the directions for the normal kit don't apply. This does not include management. That's on you and so is tunning. I'll have it on your car with the belt off running like stock when I'm done ready to be tuned. Don't hesitate to ask any questions. I want this to go to a good home. I'm having problems loading images so till I can you can look in my profile to see what it looks like, its by far the cleanest Pettit kit out. Will make more power also due to the ported blower, how much is to be seen.

Damn, definitely interested. So is the 4k problem only because it was fitted on an S2 without proper tuning options?

In other words I would work the same as any other SC kit for a S1?

Would you consider shipping it?

^ yo phil i thought of you when i saw this thread i was just about to text you lol

Moon Assad 04-24-2013 02:09 PM

Yes, just tunning issues. If its going on a s2 get a microtec, note an interceptor but a strait out microtec. I was working with a piggyback called power mod, what a pos it was. Ill be getting a microtec for the new setup. The new setup will not be as affordable as this kit though. Just a heads up.

You don't think Mazdaedit is a viable option for tuning the S2? GLWS, this is a good deal.

mafiaboy01 04-24-2013 02:35 PM

Ok that's what I thought, I'd be putting it on a S1 so that shouldn't be a problem. The price is still a little high compared to what the last two kits sold for.

I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this thread.

Well, the last 2 kits weren't ported and had way more miles on them. I'm not taking a penny less on the sickest Pettit kit made. Plus its the only kit that fits an s2.

Never worked with it. There's only a handful of standalone systems that have proven them selves. For the power I plan making the microtec is the best proven on the track. Haltec is nice but I've herd its hard to work with. I've asked a few high HP rx7 guys and they say the same.

9krpmrx8 04-24-2013 05:31 PM

Mazdaedit is not a standalone, it's a flash based tuning product. They are just identifying the tables for the S2 now but so far everything looks good to go. Someone with a boosted S2 just needs to run with it.

Most recent updates are towards the end.

benben01 04-24-2013 08:02 PM

Hey Moon! Have you taken the kit out of the car yet?

ShellDude 04-24-2013 08:56 PM

I'll also install it so keep that in mind when making your offers.
price / offer to include transport of you and the SC? Damn this is a sick deal for someone.

GLWS

Either you come to me or I go to you, distance is a consideration. There is a key to taking this kit on and off. If you don't know the process you pull your hair out.

Carbon8 04-25-2013 08:54 PM

GLWS, bump and sub interested who ends up with this awesome kit.

Great price, includes great service for a one of a kind setup.

To bad it still wont be for sale in the fall or i'd take it :(

ShellDude 04-25-2013 09:02 PM

Moon you'd be my best friend right now had I waited 3 years to boost, especially considering your right down the road from me.

c'mon guys, make some offers... instant boost.... and I can assure you his opening ask is cheap as hell for what you end up with.

I already made an offer through PM before he created this thread.
Now that I see his asking price isn't too far from my original offer, I might have to reconsider.

ShellDude 04-25-2013 09:39 PM

do it! I got to hear a couple pettits over the weekend and man do they hum. We had to peel one friend out of the passenger seat of one of them on account of all the suction built up due to the butt pucker effect.

shadycrew31 04-25-2013 10:48 PM

Ughh... If only I wasnt so far in debt.

kersh4w 05-01-2013 10:55 PM

outstanding(ly broke).

izombie 05-04-2013 09:17 PM

Yo man im down with the price! will this work with a Auto?

Moon Assad 06-13-2013 10:13 PM

This kit will be with Cam at Pettit soon. Further negotiations will be between Pettit and those interested. I had a few offers through credit card but no cash offers. I'm not setup for CCs. Who ever gets it will be for 1 very lucky and for 2 very happy. If I wasn't stepping it up a few notches I'd keep it. Keep this also in mind, I'm building a new kit. It will be no where close to the affordabilty of this but will have way more potential.
