Rotr8 12-06-2009 02:38 PM

It must have been a real good deal too because I pm'd the op before Team about the hood and havent heard a word about it,,,

TeamRX8 12-06-2009 03:13 PM

kersh4w 12-06-2009 03:17 PM

you will buy this! and you will post pics!

and it WILL BE SEXY!

TeamRX8 12-06-2009 03:23 PM

this would be for a future project so pics would likely be a year away

jonni44 12-06-2009 04:10 PM

Im very curious too, a cf front lip, hood, fenders, doors, side skirts, diffuser, trunk, and wing would look so hot right now (its what i was planning on my velocity red) oh well i have my hood but i guess its back to the drawing board on the rest.

TopGear8 12-06-2009 05:51 PM

^Mark just wants the Rear doors so he can act like he drives an Audi R8 :)

Rotr8 12-06-2009 08:43 PM

Im curious about the hood and its flare, Panspeeds and the AutoExe hood have simular flares at the rear as well. I have yet to see any on an 8 on this forum,,,

how much work is needed to install the doors? im kind of interested in the fenders, trunk, and doors i just hate i cant see how they fit.

Everything just swaps over...probably just takes time transfering it all over.

TeamRX8 12-07-2009 06:51 PM

Sorry, I'm going to pass afterall. Best wishes to anyone who gets this good deal.

T-ReX-8 12-07-2009 07:37 PM

You have any hook ups with shipping, or is this stuff going to cost an arm and leg to get out? I'm interested, just trying to see how it would translate to being shipped all the way to the west coast

TeamRX8 12-07-2009 08:54 PM

It was very reasonable, he gets a very decent flat rate, I assume through the dealership. His shipped price for the whole lot can't be beat.

kersh4w 12-08-2009 01:21 AM

his price in general cant be beat. $2000 for $3000 worth of stuff?

sheesh. so tempting. but what makes me not go for it (besides not having the money) is that i cant imagine cf doors are that safe in an accident.

The 4 mammoth boxes translates to about $405 to the left coast.

Meh, getting t-boned in anything bigger than a smart car would be pretty much game over regardless of having cf doors or not. If you have the money go for it, cf everything would look very unique, and I like unique. :shocking:

Think how baller status your corpse would be though!!! :ylsuper:

falcons365 12-09-2009 07:59 AM

Still sitting on all these parts...and I will split it up. I'd love to see it go to one person, but I know thats tough. If 4 different people want 4 different parts, I'm ok with that.

jonni44 12-09-2009 06:03 PM

Fuck, I would love to take those off your hands, Im sorry, it being christmas and all I just dont have the cash :(

SCRATCH 02-12-2010 03:50 PM

do you have actual photos of your parts? cus these are the same photos from www.aerokits.net (chaser aerodynamics)

epikeddie 02-12-2010 06:53 PM

And you know that Falcon365 IS from Chaser Aero right?

I'm not going to trash talk on this forum, but let's just say that those CF doors will weigh the same as your OEM doors.

We had a well-respected member in the Miata community who has a full Pitcrew, full-carbon Miata order CF door cards from Chaser Aero.

What came to us was nothing more than a sheet of carbon sandwiching fiberglass in between. Mods.....this is definitely an attempt to sell their products on this forum without paying their sponsor fees.

I've seen their quality and I've weight their "carbon" parts. I'm sure Team backed out because he found out as well.

If you guys want a REAL composite manufacturer, let me know. The same member I was mentioning has CF fenders, doors, hardtop, rear quarters, hood, and trunk all made by his private guy here in Socal.

epikeddie 02-12-2010 06:54 PM

Oh......

He does have a Miata though. I don't recall him owning a RX8 though.
