Hello, I am selling my car PC!

I've had it for about 2 months... installed that is.... took me over 6 months to plan and get parts and install (I took my time, and finding the nav hood was a bitch)

Anyways.

It works perfectly, just as it should except the m2-atx automotive psu, which I bought from a guy on here, didn't work properly (on/off with car) so I added a momentary button to make that work. Actually kinda like it better because sometimes I don't want the pc coming on at all.

I've put a video of the functions from the driver's point of view and some pictures of it in the trunk. The wires are a mess because I had recently pulled it out and am too lazy to bundle them all back up!

But that little box it sits on I made to help the cooling... I just didn't want it directly on carpet.


So the PC spec:

• Jetway Mobo Model name: 7F3E-PB with an integrated geode processor.
  It works perfectly for this, low engery consumption, pretty snappy (boot time about 15-20 seconds on average).
  
• A 120gb segate 2.5" HDD.
  
• The m2-atx psu
  
• and 1 gb of ram. (max the mobo holds I believe)
  
• a lilliput 629 7" LED backlit screen, custom fabbed into the OEM housing. Works fantastically as I have extended the IR receiver to the OEM location so the remote works. (as seen in video)

Also the wireless keyboard/touchpad... it's pretty sweet. Works perfectly for this type of application.

I have the Vroom PC case as you can see by the pictures.

I soldered and wired the OEM housing to work with factory features with a car that doesn't have stock navigation.

I personally ran some usb extension cables and such (a microphone cord as well for mp3/ipod hookup into centrafuse (the front end)) But I can't get those out unless I take the whole console out... which I am not doing.

Also the Car2PC adapter is included, which provides an aux jack for the PC audio and a usb interface to have steering wheel controls work with the pc.... I never actually hooked that function of it up though.... never needed to.

I put a ground loop isolator in just in case... so that comes.

As well as ferrite beads, to reduce RF interference.

It will include the necessary wires (VGA, and usb for monitor and such).
I also added two extra usb ports to the mobo directly for a total of 4. and they are mounted on the motherboard backing plate.

I will include the wire I used for the battery hookup and such... but I don't recommend it.... it was not very good... You should probably get your own.

Also, I will provide instructions and walk you through the installation process as needed!


The PC has winXP on it, and centrafuse.

This price is not set in stone. If you have a reasonable offer, I will consider. Perhaps money and a trade. I am looking for maybe a mazda ipod hookup or a gauge pod. Something of the sort.

With parts.. and the intensive labor and time involved in putting this together that is a fair price... seriously, this was a bitch to make work. Spent probably 15+hrs making that monitor fit and work in the navi hood which I had to make work and solder and all that.


Oh, one more thing. That picture of the console, that's just showing what I have done, the audio jack I messed up so it is ugly at the moment. But it has my usb ports, the button for the on off and some LED's and a switch for the m2-atx, but that didn't work as planned.... so they are useless... if you really want to know what they did PM me... but it is irrelevant.

But ya, it wasn't cheap. I may drop the price again, but only by like $50. It obviously doesn't mean much to you though.

and honestly that is close to the price of the parts I got added up. and I spent numerous hours on it so I'm kinda giving away my blood sweat and tears( no joke, except the tears, I got cut by random car parts a lot!)

Maybe. If the price is worth it. But otherwise no Because it's gonna be hard selling just a pc, would have to go to the carputer forums and there is so much stuff there that never sells.

Not sure. I can figure it out for you though.

So 9.53 won't work it looks like.

I've never done this, but I know you can go to the dealer and get a firmware flash. Not sure if it costs anything though.
