Need to change my cat out and don't mind getting a midpipe along with it. But, the midpipe will bring up the CEL light won't it? I'm doing emissions in May I'm pretty sure.

Nope, I never had a CEL with this combo!

Interesting, then I'm interested. I'm also told an aftermarket midpipe won't pass emissions. I'm up in Canada, don't know if they're touchy about such.

If by any chance this stuff isn't relevant I'm down. How's the sound on that combination?

AFAIK no province in Canada has emission testing other than Ontario. From what I heard, it's all just a farce there, too. Easily bypassed if you know the tricks.

That said, I don't like my car smelling like ass all the time, so that's why I like having a cat.

BHR midpipes sound mostly like OEM, except a bit deeper.

Yeah I double checked, the ones who will do the install is the Mazda dealer, the service manager appears to know his stuff, didn't bat an eye at the issue so it looks good now.

Yes I heard midpipes alter sound a little but the HJS cat should do a fair bit of its own to the sound, I'm thinking.

Kind of want a BHR Long tube header.

The sale is done it has happily replaced my oem cat and what a difference it makes. I Should have done this sooner...
