FS: 20B Engine Code D599 - 100-120+ psi all rotor faces!
This engine was pulled from a running car. Sean from A-spec Tuning will vouch for that.
It is a late model D series #599. One of the most sought after and hard to find 20b engines. I do not know if it was ported. It could be but I really don't know. Stock turbos & manifold can be included if buyer wants them. The rotor housings are polished along with the UIM alternator, front cover & oil fill neck and some of the accessory pulleys and brackets. All the polishing could use a once over. Some of the side plates are painted orange, so is the LIM. One of the Irons is yellow. The coolant necks are painted blue and the water pump housing black. I dunno what the deal is with the color scheme it was done by a previous owner. I was gonna rebuild the engine and repaint everything with a different scheme. http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/1825/20b1.jpg http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/9355/20b2.jpg http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/1710/image001ke.jpg Compression test videos: Front Rotor - 110-120+ psi: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rK6lBJDX-Sk Middle Rotor - 110-120+ psi: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msuu1C3_0w0 Rear Rotor - 100+ psi: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69pE8bifI3E As you can see, it is a perfect candidate to be dropped in as is for a budget build with no tear down of the engine needed and it is also a perfect engine for a big dollar rebuild to whatever crazy specs you want. Why gamble with a JDM junkyard engine? $5000 Shipped to contiguous united states ONLY! I am a member of the Rx7Club and just now thought to post this over here too. http://smiliesftw.com/x/eekfacepalm.gif All the info to verify who I am can be found here: http://www.rx7club.com/member.php?u=58083 |
On 7club your FS thread is $5k shipped CONUS and here you are charging for shipping. It would be a good idea to make the threads the same. Great motor. GL with your sale.

Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: Fuck yes. Still an awesome find for anyone already planning to do this. |

What you would need to go along with the engine depends completely on how you would want to run it. At the very least you need an ecu to run it, and that's if you are going to run it as is but naturally aspirated and a subframe if it doesn't fit without one. I'm not sure if it would mount as is, I don't think it will. Start going turbo and your going to need alot more, turbo, intercooler + piping fuel system, probably a beefier transmission to deal with the massive power and torque + all the goodies that go along with a turbo car. |
is the engine still available?
|
I would KILL for this!!!!!!!!!!!
|
Didn't know you could use a piston compression tester for a rotatory that's pretty neat....
