The tires are too small (diameter) for the rx8, so you might consider posting a wheels only price. I believe there are a few threads of people looking for this style wheel in this size or similar, so it shouldn't be too hard selling them if the price is right.

kersh4w 07-11-2010 12:16 PM

17s are not too small for the rx8.

my winter rims are 17x7. they will fit.

Anijo 07-11-2010 12:18 PM

The tires are a bit stretched on the wheels but with that little tread left you can run them for the rest of summer then buy new tires for next year. I love my 17x9's, 17x9.5 should be almost as light with a bit more wheel.

I can put the 255/40 NT05's in the deal instead, but that will be a little more.

What I think he means is that a 40 series tire is something that we run on like an 18" so on a 17" there would be some considerable wheel gap.

J8635621 07-11-2010 09:56 PM

255/40 NT05 would be decent. Sticky tires that are a little shorter for a gear ratio "improvement". It's almost the same as a 255/35/18.

vstypicals 07-14-2010 01:42 AM

Price dropped to $1080.
You guys can resell the tires later after you use them or get new tires.

JantzenRX-8 07-14-2010 09:25 AM

Still waiting for a PM reply. How much for the wheels with NT05's shipped to 73072? How much tread is on the NT05's?

Shipping will be around $150. The NT05s only have about 600-700 miles on them.

JantzenRX-8 07-14-2010 10:59 PM

Still not sure how much you want for the wheels plus the NT05's

The best I can do is $1520 shipped + any PayPal fees should you decide to use PayPal.

JantzenRX-8 07-15-2010 10:09 PM

That's $20 more than new after paypal. :scratchhe

Good luck with the sale.

Or you could remove the tires and sell them seperately to s2000 guys.

I think you will improve your chances by selling the wheels by themselves.

I am trying to help here, not thread bash. In good condition used wheels go for 60-75% of the brand new cost.

With tires, take the brand new price, prorate for wear and you expect to get about 75% of the new price at best. Keep in mind that most NEW tire price include shipping or can be picked up localy at a tire shop.

If you make these price adjustments you should be able to sell them.

Dude haha. Your shit is used man and you're selling it for the price of new and the last time I checked your name is vstypicals not tirerack.com so what's to say you're not some punk kid looking to scam someone. You're not hooking me up with shipping w're negitating the value of your shit buddy.

Like I said, good luck with the sale -- you'll probably have to sell them
local to get even close to what you want.

Tell me where you can find these RPF1s with tires brand new for $1080. I'm trying to scam someone? LOL.. What does that even have to do with anything? This isn't a "name your own price" sale. I make the price, if you don't like, then buy them somewhere else.

Why should I hook you up with shipping? I don't even want to ship them you. I told you in my PM that it's a dealbreaker if I have to ship them, but you keep nagging and shit. The 255/40/17 NT05s alone are $600 new.

These are posted on S2Ki.com. They'll probably be sold there first.

Normally this would be considered a thread crap but since you asked...

$1062 shipped -- 17x9.5 +38 for -- would you like the email i got from them saying they're in stock?
http://www.oakos.com/Merchant2/merch...y_Code=1025000

$485 shipped -- Nitto NT05 255/40/17 -- send this link to discount tire direct, price match and get free shipping. Would you like the confirm email from Discount Tire Direct too?
http://discounttires.com/list.php?c=...=&brandID=1335

Total = $1574

I didn't say you were trying to scam anyone -- i'm sure you're legit but buying from some random off the internet with 4 posts is a lot riskier than placing an order with a reputable company which is why sellers like you can't get top dollar for new or used goods.

I think it's funny that you think the concept of negotiating is "hooking somebody up". Would you like me to re-phrase it? I think your wheels/tires are worth $1100 so i'm willing to pay you $1100 for the wheels and tires. Then pay you $150 to ship them. Oh wait, no i wont. Moving on now...
