05 6MT Engine Parts (Housings, Plates, Rotor)

I'm selling a few parts I will no longer need as I am swapping in an REW. Prices
include shipping to the continental USA and will ship the next business day after payment is received. I accept Paypal and ship UPS ground.

Rotor Housing labeled "F": $220
Rotor Housing labeled "R": $220
Both housings are in good shape. They both have a couple nicks on the outer aluminum body (see pictures), but do not affect function. They don't have any flaking, only the usual corner seal grooves.

Intermediate Cast Iron Plate: $75

Rear Cast Iron Plate: $75 (does not include stationary gear)

Rotor: $120

Oil Pan: $50 (exterior surface rust only, I can bead blast and refinish it with POR15 for an extra $50)

Trades I would consider: 3" exhaust system, Adaptronic ECU, passenger side air bag, rims with good tires :)

I do recommend with every rebuild having the rotor housings resurfaced (milled smooth). I have used Freelance Motor sports in the past and had good results.

Those housings dont look all that awesome to me. I see significant chatter above the T plug holes, and also some wear around the plug holes. I'd probably offer $300 shipped for the pair and take my chances with them. I'd throw in another $110 on the rotor and it can go in the same box as the housings..it's going to need a bearing.

That's why I recommend resurfacing. The bearing is shot, yes.
I'll post more detailed pictures of the housings side by side. I don't want anybody to feel like they're getting screwed. :) If you decide you want them, I accept your offer.

Yeah, but resurfacing rotor housings is another $350 or so with round trip shipping, and then you are getting closer to the cost of new housings. Rx8 housings dont have much chrome to begin with, usually some of it is already missing, and the resurfacing never produces a perfect surface anyway because they cannot grind deep enough into the chrome layer to get all the chatter and defects out or they would go all the way through the chrome. So now you have twice as much money in the housings but they still havent improved all that much.
