Watchu thinkk

I lovvvvvvve my matte black plasti dip but I wanna do a color that will pop more. Ever since I have seen an anodized red on a car I fell in love. I'm doing it regardless but still interested in what you think.

How it sits currently..

Since you asked for opinions i'll give you mine. I love the matte black on the SpeedSource RX8, that is all. The decals on the car accent the matte black well. I'm not a fan of matte black if it's just a street car, especially with stock red brakes, you need something aftermarket there to complete the look your going for...

And those are also one of my least favorite volks out there...I'm not trying to be a hater or anything, I preferred how your car looked this past summer.

I would definitely have to agree with Topgear. I feel that the matte look only works well with race cars. In my opinion, i see a lot of street cars with the matte look, and only some of them look right (i.e. M5 w/ extensive mods, GTR w/ mods and so fourth). I feel like the matte trend is going to definitely end soon as well. Just my opinion, other than that, clean car.

It's cool your not hating, every ones got different tastes, thanks for your opinion.

Guess I will just have to make it a race car(;

in order for matte to work well on street cars, the car is required to have a very aggressive bodykit, very low to the ground, nice wheels and IMHO a wing that is APPROPRIATE, like the GTC200 with risers, or the Odula wing with risers.

anything too big will throw everything off, anything that looks cheap will make the whole car look cheap.

you have the low,wheels and paint. I think you now need a more aggressive front bumper.. Something that not a lot of people have, maybe Odula? And ditch that rear bumper, it looks like poopoo. A custom diffuser like one Sifu had made would look very nice.

I've been contemplating matte red as well. Putting together some body work this summer before painting my car next winter. Not totally sure if I'm gonna go that way yet but it will be some version of "red" no matter what happens.

I'm leaning on the red, it looks unique.

I don't really like matt anything, I prefer the glaze and shine of normal paint

yeah I remember him talking about that paint being a six stage paint, House of Kolor paint is a very expensive investment,
