Anyway i'm subscribing to see what this car will look like!

Out of curiosity: what transmission are you going to use?
Yea, I missed that part. After reading it again and seeing "HRE", that would've told me automatically that it will not be doing any racing...lol. That would be pretty crazy if the transmission was built though.

Thanks for the compliments guys. The customer plans to use the car for track, drag, street, and some drift. Those HRE are actually very light, and very strong. Unfortunately, no deal on the Veilside, already got the Seibon. We will be updating the pics here as it goes along. This project should be B A N A N A S. Transmission... still thinking what to do. Any ideas from the Gallery here

There are some transmissions out there. I still don't understand the 19" rims but i guess that's me.
You might want to swap to a 3.9 or at least 4.1 final drive with that power with a transmission that has got a similar gearing to the stock one.
The rear axles probably won't stand that power, any thoughts on what to do? There's just one vendor that i know of that sells them atthe moment!

Please list those vendors, parts or ideas, the transmission is not something I am sure of yet.

We ran 19's on our Pepsi RX8 but then 18's for the Track.

Having an 18" option for the track is wise
Black Halo Racing sells rear axle shafts, you might want to contact Charles R. Hill for them.
The transmission might be a pain in the back considering the power levels you want to reach.
Hewland? Holinger? You might also buy a clutch bell\housing adapter and stick a t-56 or a richmond to the engine but i wouldn't rely too much on that solution

Well I just remember HRE's being banned by PCA, Viper Racing League, and some other, but it's all a controversial thing as physics are physics to any wheel. I personally just wouldn't run them for the track as they are 19" wheels, that is beyond the fact of the aforementioned statement. Albeit the obvious point for and against running those wheels, life should be interesting for the owner when the car is done.

Edit: I just read Alan's post on 6speed and was very informed. A lot of people were misled about the rumor such as I and my neighbor of whom is with POC. I usually don't come up with sudden judgments as I like to do some reading and discussing first, but I stand corrected. After several track days, time attacks, and formula ford events that I've seen, I came up with the conclusion that HRE's weren't as safe as BBS or whatever else there is to run at the track. From now on though, I'll stick to the usual physics of forces on wheels. heh
