VERY impressive car...........but in my opinion the stripes ruin it. Sure does look like fun to drive though.

XDEEDUBBX 01-31-2007 12:41 PM

Interesting. Where do you have space to drive RX8?

I have been to the island side. And been driven around the entire island in a complete circle around the perimeter. In my mind especially, downtown by Fenwick Pier there is simply no room. Just taxis everywhere and narrow alleys.

Wow very nice, Id be interested in reading this article. Anyone care to translate?

And they said they didn't like stripes.

A rotary in HK? Everytime I've been there, all I see are 350z, Altezzas and 5 series.

SE3P_HKG 02-01-2007 03:45 AM

I must say, I like the GT strip very much on the Mustang so I transfered to my car. I guess that's what modifying car is all about, it is to do what the owner's like. :)

I think the 4.7 RD is a must have for any RX-8, which improves the low end torque very much. The gear mates with the turbo kit very well!! It has suprised many high powered car on the road.

If you get up early enough on most Sundays, you will see Ferrari Enzo, F50, Porsche Carrera GT, GT3 RS and many more exotic cars stretching their legs from the Hong Kong side on route to the airport and back to New Territories for breakfast before heading home again!!

The reason it is not popular is because not many garages in town knows how to repair the engine. Also, the fuel economy is not too good for start stop traffic condition either!

It is a great combonation as the 4.7 will help minimise the negative affect on the weak low end torque of the RENESIS engine and help spool up the turbo quicker as the gearing will keep the RPM higher.
