How many times did you go full throttle? What is the normal level of boost for the kit? That bit at the didn't seem quite as fast as I would expect for a turbo 8...

It doesnt look fast but its easily a low 13 second car my friend... Its about as quick as a C5 Vette.. i know because i barely beat one.

I'm just throwing this out there, that if you ever decide to sell that turbo, I'll make sure I'm first in line ;)
Nice vid, btw. If anyone watches a video of acceleration, of course it'll seem slow. If you watch an in cabin vid of racers, it seems slow (unless going really impressive speeds). You need to feel it to see it... If that makes any sense :scratchhe |
About how much power should that be? I've admittedly been watching videos of much faster cars, so I'm a tad used to that, but even other videos of 8's on the greddy kit, with even less boost, seem faster.
When you say COBB tuned, do you mean it was tuned by COBB or just using an accessport? |
Actually Kane tuned it but i am looking to up the boost up some more. I want to bring it up to 12 Psi. BTW this engine currently has 20k miles all boosted, but i am looking to do a compression test to see how its looking.
Umm it should be somewhere in the low 300's . Here is a short clip a kinda showing how it accelerated check it out.

I actually was going to sell it last summer , but i decided to just install that bad boy. This summer i do want to go bigger so the turbo kit might be for sale as i will have to go with a different kit.

Which kit are you wanting to go with?
Summer/spring is when I'll be in the market for my turbo! Seems like I'm destined to own your kit :P |
I need to do some more research but im actually thinking about just making my own kit... or see what top mounts there are out there. So im still not too sure.
