I think because Nurburgring has enough straight/high speed cornerd to cool down the tires.
Street of willow this track is all the way low speed corners,lots of braking, tires heat up fast
good to know you have luck with RT615 ^^

The shipping was something around $250 for all 8, I pretty much got 4 of the tires for free with the deal I got.

There's a small test track near my city (Rome) called ISAM. small but good to test things.
Then there's Vallelunga , Magione and a couple of tracks that i believe you've seen on television
( hint.. mugello 
).
I have a friend near Spa-Francorchamps too so i try to go there at least once a year!

np, btw do you also drive with heating set to max when air temps are around 30 deg Celcius?
shifting @ 8200-8500rpm wont keep water temps below 110 deg only the "sauna" trick works for me (or cooling laps ofc)

I do have a couple of cooling mods too other than the power\handling ones
I do run with air temps around 28\30° in car, with the vents pointing outside the side glasses.
I leave the glasses half open so that i don't cook!

I also had the Azenis on Hockenheimring and Anneu du Rhin with the same results and there tracks that might be more comparable to Streets of Willow. I also run a 265/35-18 RT615 on the Skyline and haven't noticed any problems with those tires on the track either. It could be a problem about the temperture change between Western Europe and California for the way your tires get slick from heat. I usually don't race if the temp is above 80 degrees.
like CA now is 100~110"F +

All the tracks I went to, they at least require helmet and window all the way down...
except for the private events ^^

in august a guy in porsche literally flooded the track with gravel "drifting" almost every corner until he just couldnt get out of it

I always have a helmet on by the way, pretty hard to be hit with the windows half way down (as i do), sorry if i gave the impression to have them completely rolled down!
I always asked myself how can the caterham guys do that lol

There are alot of differences between track days in Europe vs. The US.
I've never signed a waiver form here saying if I get in a crash that I can't sue the track and other BS. They figure if you get in a crash its your fault which I totally agree.
I only have to wear a helmet on Club racing days which also I'm required to have tow hooks with Arrows pointing towards the hooks. I haven't seen a rule about the windows but I always crack them
Most track days are called tourist days so you'll be on the track with experienced and amateur drivers.
Nurburgring is classified as a Expensive toll road that has no Speed limit, but there are track days there where the open the whole track and its closed off to the public. When its open to the public its a mad house and while your trying to beat your best time your also dealing with people out there that don't know what they are doing which you will see those people hit the walls. There are bikes and on some days those bikes turn into a swarm of bees around you. I've gotten to be a better defensive driver on that course that's helped a lot on other race tracks around Europe.
Personally, I love the Ring its seems to be a challenge every time I go out. My fastest time is 8:35 on the tourist days with traffic, on the track day I forgot my lap timer so I couldn't really time it right.

The only track where i had to sign a weaver was spa-francorchamps, in the other cases it was always more like a contract, where you were going to use their track and pay for eventual damages etc... and a clarification that stated how the track was not a public road (for insurance purposes) whatsoever.

YesI have, I got spun by one in a Brand new Porsche Turbo on the ring back in 2007. I passed him which shouldn't of happened and then we go around a turn and he taps me in the back and spins me. When I got back to the paddock all he says is " Sorry Mate my first time on the track"

In other cases you usually file the insurance claim outside the track, illegal but...
The good thing is when they play hard there, ruin your car and then step down theirs screaming that they're not going to pay you in anyway.
A glass hammer usually helps in that occasion to stop them from being so pathetic.

Luckily the only damage I had from that was where his front plate hit me. I really didn't care its just like a battle scar.
it just pissed me off since I had the line and he tried to take me on the right where you aren't suppose to pass.

I had a guy in a civic trying to pass me during every chicane once, the only problem was that he was going straight on the grass darting in the middle of the track! Huge risks for nothing since he was 1 sec. slower! He also came to offend me after the track day because i was "risking to hit him".

I got only good experince so far, people usually know what they are doing, checking their mirrors and let you pass without any risk. There are some exeptions like the guy in Porsche but they usually end on the sideway, no harm done, just a bugger

I had a guy in a civic trying to pass me during every chicane once, the only problem was that he was going straight on the grass darting in the middle of the track! Huge risks for nothing since he was 1 sec. slower! He also came to offend me after the track day because i was "risking to hit him".

i had to slow down it reminded me of that part in Days of Thunder when tom Cruise was drving through the smoke cloud.
That was a great lap that WRX had about 320 hp and I was on his AS$ the whole lap.
