I appreciate the photos. Nice work.

I will be very interested to see how the U.S. response to the GT-R. The big league tuners will gobble them up as quickly as they can get their greasy hands on them but for the average joe, I'm just curious.

How many people that can afford a $70k+ automobile know about this car? For that price there is alot of other cars out there. I understand all the performance numbers the GT-R is putting out but we, as informed auto enthusiasts, will understand that, but again the dentist/ doctor/ executive out there is going to be drawn to the european market, mostly, IMO, because of the status that comes with a higher end european auto maker.

If I had the means, I think that I would be on the fence on this one. Just some thoughts.

Larouche 10-24-2007 01:21 PM

I'm thinking the same thing than you success07

Renesis_8 10-24-2007 01:26 PM

That cutaway model of GTR shows how much engineering went into this car. wow..

BigOLundh 10-24-2007 01:30 PM

That cutaway model of the GTR was very, very nice.

I still say the lexus lf-a prototype is the hottest thing at the show.

Spin9k 10-24-2007 01:35 PM

I'm feeling the same thing...the GT-R has about .001% the street cred with well monied professionals as any number of the lesser European performance cars out there...and 70+K isn't chump change, although not really expensive either. Upwardly mobile professionals have a strong herding instict and may not bite. Performance enthusiasts are going to be super-interested but suspicious as it's a new vehicle with potential problems, not any history (sound familiar?).

But I don't understand Wolverine....you're there, but where are pics and what about rotary cars and rotary engines at the Mazda booth? What going on? Is Mazda pulling a no show on rotary product?:dunno:

Renesis_8 10-24-2007 01:39 PM

I doubt he is there, he is just linking from the japanese sites as they are updated.

Really? I think that thing is hideous. I think the IS-F sucks too. Too many broken lines in both of those cars for me.

I like the FT-HS a lot though. Very clean.

L8APEX 10-24-2007 02:20 PM

if I had the means, I would get an R34 imported. :)

doh: missed the last page all together...:banghead:

if I were making a little more money on the side... I would love to get a gtr... i really think it looks nice... they kept some of its original looks and intagrated them into a more modern appeal. very tasty if you ask me

shaunv74 10-24-2007 02:24 PM

Thanks Wolverine!! Excellent pictures. I'm crossing my fingers for some '08 RX-8 pics!

damn they really ran with it on the IS-F exhaust tips
sweetass concepts come to life

Yea, too bad they are just like the Speed6 and only part of the bumper shroud.

tajabaho1 10-24-2007 02:49 PM

The Ferrari is gorgeous, but, nothing new, the porsche is cool

the suby in the lineup just threw me off

G-ReX 10-24-2007 06:25 PM

The Nissan disappointed me - a very busy and muddled design. The poor Subie is just emasculated. Sad to see. The LF-A looks really nice and the Reventon is Stealth Fighter on wheels. I wonder if it's got the radar signature of a small bird as well.

The Taika has some neat design cues. Gotta wonder what of it will show on the next RX-8.

Earl the Pearl 10-24-2007 07:31 PM

Nice pics. I like the wheels and front end of the Taiki but the Lambo is definitely the hottest car there.

thecow135 10-24-2007 07:40 PM

the revention has an f16? inspired interior, with all the airplane meters and such.

i hate the way the exhausts are on the lexus's but the cars look nice
