Hmm, I don't have an actual measurement. My guess would be 1.5" lower and since it is painted all the way to the bottom, it visually is lower. I believe my mud-guards hung lower than the KS does. I should have some side profile pics of my car before I had the KS rear, I'll see if I can find them for comparison's sake.

Any interior shots?

tiltmode43 03-23-2012 03:08 AM

Nothing special to show off really. However, I have a photoshoot coming up soon with a real photographer, perhaps he'll take some. We'll see :)

You're getting custom seats? Spill the details!

Fitment was perfect - no work required. I did a little drilling to the corner area to get best fitment possible, but wasn't much. The corner area is very minimal, and I wouldn't be turned off by 5 min/side using a dremel to fine tune.

Status Racing, Carbon fiber, black Alcantara with matching centers. I was going to go with the diamond stitch but i decided not to at the last minute haha

I dont really care about having them FIA approved. I just want nice seats ;)

Thanks for the info, as soon as I get a email back from Shine I'll be making up my mind. depending on if i like something else of theirs. :dunno:

Oh, sounds nice! I would love seats but get paranoid removing airbags from a daily driven car.

Mine was the authentic one but I don't think the Shine has any considerable issues either. The only thing you may need to spend a bit of time on is the corner light area but all in all this is a very minor requirement, if necessary at all.

I believe so :wiggle:

The last batch of photos was posted all over Facebook and Tumblr, and got tossed up as the banner car on www.mazdafitment.com. Was getting tagged in posts every day back when I first uploaded those pics, haha.

Jake33 03-26-2012 01:57 PM

I was thinking the same thing...oh well though. I'd rather be comfortable and secure than uncomfortable and sliding around in my leather seats...plus is looks nice as sh*t :)

Where did you order your bumper at?

tiltmode43 03-28-2012 04:43 PM

Wohooooooo, excited!

Picked up Corksport rear strut bar that mounts on the bottom of the trunk, in addition to the Mazdaspeed rear strut bar. Also picking up OEM Mazdaspeed catback for custom quad exit build!

BHR Yukon kit on order as well :icon_tup:

The Corksport rear strut bar is a good choice. Have it in mine, the only drawback is that it came with a Corksport decal already on it that was upside down! Still working on buyin the BHR ignition...

I'm super excited for the BHR. Got the kit at the SoCal BBQ this past weekend and was impressed. The heat syncs from the Yukon coils excite me. This weekend I should be installing the BHR coil kit, new plugs, & Corksport bar. Might tackle the diff as well and see if I can get the quad project started. Then I will be ready for another feature :D:

Here's another pic of my car from the same angle, just tried a different editing style out for fun.

Oh I forgot to mention! For those of you wondering what the "Harlot" logo on the front of my car is, go like/share this facebook page, lot's of good stuff to come! Take a look at some of the other cars involved and you'll see what I mean :icon_tup:

Tilt: by any chance are you running your fender liners?

mistahjg 04-04-2012 03:17 AM

tiltmode43 04-25-2012 03:17 AM

In an entirely random and spontaneous decision recently, I ordered the BN Sports front bumper, BN Sports side skirts, Ganador mirrors, and Panspeed rear over fenders. Should be here by end of June, will rock the Bazreias until then.

Will be back on some 1-piece wheels again, don't think I could stand an increase in Mad Mike comparisons, lol. Woot for some track time too :naughty:

Rotr8 04-25-2012 09:04 AM

yeah, but Mad Mikes 8 looks really good because of the wild livery. The BN sports kits looks huge and over sized for the 8 with a normal paint scheme, imo. Hope to see it turn out well, good luck :fingersx:

blamerobb 04-25-2012 09:24 AM

Matt ur car is looking so good. I havent posted since I got rid of my 8 but damn man it's looking good.
Wanna add a agency power under drive pulley to ur mods? I found mine when I just moved lol and obviously don't need it. I'll give it to u cheap just cuz I wanna see ur car in person haha.
