Three RX8s in Camarillo plus.....my newest MOD!
 

As the title says, had a photoshoot with a couple great local friends (greg and lebren) and their rx8's in the industrial area in Camarillo, and got a chance to get some photos with my newest mod!!! i present to you......


The rear rotor L.E.D. brake light! (thanks to lebren for designing/building/installing the light)


i think the pics came out great, the 8's look so badass with the light i looove it! but ill let lebren give out the information concerning the light in case anyone is interested in one ;]

looking forward to the next shoot, if anyone from around ventura county wants to join in as well just let me, gregs, or lebren know and we can set something up!

im guessing you mean the rear license plate light not the front? if so, yes we all have L.E.D.s back there too but they are white l.e.d.s not blue, they just turn out blue in the pictures!

lol oohh sorry, no none of us have blue lights, they are all either stock or white. the pictures just make them look blue though =]

Pics are awesome! Lights look great, but is it legal? I mean I would be worried not having the 3rd light lit up at top for safety reasons.

we didnt touch the 3rd brake light up top at all, its still fully functional and everything. the 3rd brake light only lights up when the brakes are applied.

To reiterate Konig's response, these only tap into the license plate light and run with the tail lights when they are turned on. They do not get brighter upon braking, and are within the legal colors allowed for the rear of a vehicle. Truck owners have tow hitch covers with LED's in them, also LED's are added to trucks in strips above the rear bumper, and these are offered in your local Pepboys, Autozone, Kragen, etc. Worst case you get a fix it ticket, remove it then put it back on :)

the install on this is a breeze too.. no cutting into the bumper very easy "DIY"

Is the color of the rear license plate bulb legal?

it should be it has not blue in it at all in person its a bright white and license plate is easily visable
