Things got Darker

Got the windows done - 20 in the back three, 30 on the side two. :)

Stainless Steel strakes and the car will be DONE, externally...if I keep the car, I'll get rims, (in all-black) however. :)

dtorre 12-10-2006 03:11 PM

Im gonna go with....sexy ass picture........nice tint but please no strakes

Wilson 12-10-2006 03:22 PM

Looks great. I'll bet a little smoke on the headlights and tail lights would really finish it off.

MissyK 12-10-2006 03:24 PM

very nice!!

CTrx8 12-10-2006 03:28 PM

very nice looking. we'll cross our fingers that your engine problems work out and you keep it. who else will post all of those nice photos for us if you leave?

oh, and i'd have to disagree with wilson on the smoked lights.

redcivic 12-10-2006 03:44 PM

Yes, strakes are gay IMO.

painter1 12-10-2006 03:48 PM

I love it when things get darker!

Bkmckay2 12-10-2006 03:52 PM

Has anyone tried to tint the windshield???? I have heard that you can't because of the "stuff" over the rearview mirror.

Brettus 12-10-2006 04:13 PM

some usless info - JMD cars come stock with rears smoked but front clear .
That looks better with them all done .

UFGator12 12-10-2006 04:32 PM

Nice rotary scenery too. I got 20% all around and I love it!

05TiGr8Lady 12-10-2006 06:04 PM

Nice pics Darin. My 8 gets darker on the 15th :)

Interesting mods.... Logs for your hood and trunk. Must be the Sumner/Puyallup edition RX8 ;)

FABRO 12-10-2006 06:43 PM

Looks real good in person Darin. Keep up the good work.

Rootski 12-10-2006 07:55 PM

I like strakes, and the stainless ones are the best.

pernell10 12-10-2006 07:57 PM

tint looks good. I don't think i will ever tint my windows though. It's seems to take away from the overall looks of the car when u can't see the inside from the outside.

Razz1 12-10-2006 11:00 PM

front windows may be too dark for safety.

NgoRX8 12-10-2006 11:10 PM

safety? not necessary. if you need it for safety, you simply push the window down button.

FABRO 12-10-2006 11:51 PM

^^^ Exactly, the darker the better.

I have 15% all around and haven't ran over anyone yet.

Critzman 12-11-2006 07:08 AM

I have 20 all around on mine... I had 2 previous vehicles I put 5% on... both times I got stopped... stripping them is a bitch... also is taking the time to go to the DMV to then get the car inspected...

Screw safety :)

The fronts are at the legal limit for this state. :D

Jedi54 12-11-2006 01:12 PM

looking good dmp! I'm assuming you're getting those stainless strakes from howard?

CAM427R 12-11-2006 01:14 PM

Looks nice dmp...I've got 20% all the way around and no issues. My friend has double 5% all the way around on his truck...I don't see how he sees anything at all...its absolutely rediculous.

I have a friend who tinted the frot windshield and it compromises your ability to see properly at night. It's also illegal in most states.

dmc27 12-11-2006 03:12 PM

Tint looks great. So do strakes. Lookin good dmp!
