Tail light tinting?

Hey guys, what do you think of tail light tinting? I was considering having my tail lights tinted either red or light smoke.....although for the cost and effort depending if I diy or have a pro do it, stock is okay for me. I can probably do this myself for real cheap.
......just interested in your thoughts or ideas also please post any pics of what you have done on your car, it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

I'd say, if anything, go with the smoke. The red is too much. I don't think it looks right, IMO. But, one of the things i like about the 8 are the tails. I really makes it stand out gives it that modern look that alot of cars are switching to now-a-days. But, just like any mod.... It really comes to what YOU like and how it makes YOU feel.

They will also look great in SS if you have black tinted windows to match the scenery!

i did mine with vht, but only a couple coats...not that dark so you can still see the inside of them for those who like the oem lights...and also it keeps cops from giving tickets because you can still see through them rather then having a solid black.

ive been pulled over and theyve mentioned alot of stupid things ( plate in windshield, stickers, exhaust, lights) but never mentioned tail light tint

I used VHT Night shades as well and used Clear Coat as well. Forgot how many coats I did... it's been two years already.
