You know it looks pretty darn good without the R3 lower lip installed. Makes the conversion a lot more affordable since the R3 bumper is pretty much the same price as the non R3 one. I may go this route as well! Pretty sure the bumper is still stiff without the lower lip right? Won't flap in the wind? And did you reuse your original lower middle piece as well? Thanks!

yea the bumper is pretty stiff. i used the factory mounting points and the middle piece too most of it bolted right up the inner fenders i would recommend getting the R3 ones being that the others are different

Not too much, was browsing on the site and I thought the user name seemed familiar!

shawns 08-10-2011 03:47 PM

This is a conversion to facelift version?

paimon.soror 08-10-2011 03:55 PM

So where did you get the bumper and how much?

stewiefied 08-10-2011 08:26 PM

I got the bumper online thur a Mazda dealer that gave me a good price but retail the bumper is like 400 but I'm sure you can find them cheaper then that tho

not sure what you're asking so I hope this is the answer you're looking for lol
Its an OEM Mazda R3 bumper

monchie 08-10-2011 11:35 PM

Looks good. Anyway, you need the rest of the aero package to complete the look.

Nah , not what i meant. This car is the facelift model , i was asking whether this car really is the facelift version or you have converted the older rx-8 to the facelift version with buying new parts.

lol

The car looks good. It's nice to see what people are doing with the S2's. What are the specs on the wheels and what springs or coilovers are you running?

Rzoops 09-02-2011 01:28 PM

Looks good! Running STX?

9krpmrx8 09-02-2011 02:02 PM

stewiefied 09-02-2011 09:51 PM
