Update of my car :
Attachment 229767Attachment 229768Attachment 229769http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...x/IMG_5055.jpg I always wanted a front lip and the one i bought is the only one i like and in carbon its even better, maybe someday ill paint it and make it fit better, or leave it like that, im pretty satisfied right now :) For the trunk lip, duck tails always had a special spot in my heart and saw it on here and ebay and gave it a try, looks pretty nice to me with the front lip match Installed a s2 fuel pump this weekend to try to fix the fuel starvation issue on track, hope it will help! cant wait to go to my local track to try it out Bought a mazdaspeed strutbar also, i always liked it but when i saw it had a master cylinder brace, i took the hit and clicked the button Bought a axialflow shifter used on here after i tried munchy's and really liked the feeling. 1st i tought short shifters were rice but when i tried it, my opinion changed, its like a race car feel! Installed some spacers also, when i installed coilovers my wheels were tuck and did not like it, not its just right :) Installed a FP gauge with block8 pod when i had fuel issues, the thing looks like OEM ! Only have my sohn omp adaptor to instal now, dont have time and courage to do it... for next year, swaybars, braided brake lines and maybe stiffer springs for my coilovers engine bay pictures will come soon Mods i did since i have the car : Wheels : Work Emotion CR-KAI 18X9.5 +38 gun metal Tires : Hankook RS3 265/35 18 Intake : Mazdaspeed cold air intake Windshield wiper : Bosch icon 420a + 418b Ipod integration : Grom audio ipod adaptor + bluetooth dongle Brake pads : Hawk HP+ Premix Oil : Motul 710 2t Spark plug : NGK RE7C-L / RE9B-T Exhaust : RX7store rx8 catback Brake oil : ATE Super blue dot 4 Caliper paint : G2usa silver Lug nuts : Rays dura nuts red Tranny Oil : Redline MT-90 Diff oil : Redline Gear oil 75w90 Engine Oil : 10W30 Brad Penn Racing Coolant additive : Redline water wetter Coolant tank : Mazda OEM coolant tank Rotors : Ultra rotors front + rear Midpipe : BHR midpipe Fuel pump : OEM S2 RX8 fuel pump assembly Car cover : OEM RX8 car cover Ignition coils : d585 Ignition kit Suspension : HSD HR 9/6 OMP adapter : Sohn OMP adaptor RX8 Engine management : Accessport w/ MM tune 2-stroke oil tank : OBX power steering tank Air pump block off : Racing beat exhaust manifold air injection plate License plate frame : Racing beat license plate frame Gauge pod : block8head single vent pod 52mm Gauge : AEM digital fuel pressure 0-100psi Fuel line fitting : Aeromotive 15120 Fuel line fitting cap : Aeroquip AN-06 plug Spacers : Akata 15mm spacer Short shifter : Axial Flow Oil filler cap : Rotary 13b1 Front strut bar : Mazdaspeed Front lip : Shine auto type 2 carbon twill Trunk lip : Racing raven carbon trunk lip spoiler |
A lot of mods! Anyway, your car looks good! ;)

nice stance!!
|
not very aggressive but i like it like that, i want to keep it trackable ! so no retard camber, no snow plow low or stuff that could hold my foot from flooring it. Form<fonction
lil vid of the dyno runs i did this summer : http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...noday_0001.jpg and a lil vid of the lapping days i did : http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...ASELC30712.jpghttp://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...LCLNL72112.jpg |
did u do any fender work besides rolling to fit +23?
|
^ +1. Curious about that also with 265/35/18. I am going to assume you had your fenders rolled for +23. How about +38 with 265 before the spacers?
|
i love those wheels, do you have a pic without spacers?
im looking into getting these wheels in the same spec and just wanna see how it sits in the guards unspaced cheers bro awesome ride |

I was 1/2 lower a couple months ago and i had to trim some liner up front, nothing much rear. only rear fenders are rolled
since i raised it, no more rubbing issues, no more scrapping either, im happy, it does not look as good but more fun to drive. here is some pictures without spacers : Attachment 229647Attachment 229648Attachment 229649Attachment 229650 And here are some without spacers and on S-tech springs : Attachment 229651Attachment 229652Attachment 229653 Without spacers and on s-techs, it was flush, without spacers lowered on coilovers at the lowest setting i was, it was sunken so thats why i got some spacers to fix that. now that i raised it, i got less camber and got some poke |

the highlighted part was WITH spacers.
I did not have the spacers when i was on stechs and when i switched to coilovers, i installed them to fix the sunken look, i was at 12" from center of the wheel to fender with 2.5° camber all around. was too low, raised it 1/2", still scraping and installed front lip, didnt want to break it so i raised it to 13" and now its fine, i have less camber(unknown yet, gotta go to alignement) and dont scrape anymore. rides better on track too, im not shy anymore and do not fear bashing everywhere all the time. |
thanks mate, we just have anal restrictions on how much camber we can run, cops get pissed off at spacers ect, you've helped me make my decision
|
Loving it! Do you live in Laval by any chance? I think I've seen you around.
|
Absolutely love the front lip. I have always wanted one, but my car is so low right now it would just get ripped off haha, and do not feel like raising it up.
|
you have more pics of your trunk lip?
