RX-8 LS-1 Project

Going for broke
Even though its a front wheel drive engine the 2.3 liter block is a great enging to work with and can be found in rwd set up on ford rangers. So doing a swap and build form a truck would prove to be cheaper and give you the option of doing what you want.

Well, I hope someone comes up with something. As it is I will be visiting Mazda soon to see if the engine falls under warrantee. If it does then one of two things will happen...1) I keep the motor and super charge it...2) I sell motor and tranny and swap something else into it.
I can prob have the project done in a year as I get beefy tax returns but I need the parts. Everything necessary to make an LS powered Rx8 that can handle. Including all tips necessary to regain near 50/50 weight distribution. And yes I realize some work will need to be put into redistribution of weight but based on all info I have gathered not much work.
I hope someone finishes a kit soon. Who knows what I will do.

Congrats man
As soon as I geet my axles I will take the car to the track. WE can do a cyber race.. He shoots a vid, I shoot a vid and Alfy puts them together... hehe
I just broke two axles today on the street. They wont hold a track day. I'm waiting on a good axle setup from the driveshaft shop that should do the trick.

That's because they're from Iceland - this is a very heavy internetz generalization, but people in Northern Atlantic/Nordic countries build SOME CRAZY F-KING CARS. And their build threads usually aren't nearly as long as a discussion thread on a US based forum.
Maybe they're just crafty, say **** it, and go do it? I'm just speculating here, but seems like a trend.
