RX-8 Kompressor
... or should I say COMPRESSED!
I got bored one night and saw a thread on another forum asking about how to compress a real car in a caricature fashion. So I made this: http://www.deanq.com/stuff/8_distort.jpg from this http://www.deanq.com/stuff/8_orig.jpg Also, this was the example pic they wanted to do it with: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...-666857745.jpg of which I made this: http://www.deanq.com/stuff/Z_distort.jpg ... oh well, use it where it's appropriate :) |
love the RX-8 :D
looks like a little plastic version. how about a link or 'how to' for this? |
Cool, mind if I use it in my sig for my account at a Honda board I frequent?
|
No, go ahead use it. I will be making a little DIY soon, because I know some people would like to do it to other cars in the future.
|
looks nice man. its uh "cute" lol

I am sure you will like the Chrono Q RX-8s! There are people in Japan using fast fix clay to modified their Chrono Q and made different colours of RX-8 with MazdaSpeed kit :) |

Where's the supercharged RX8 promised in the thread title? ;)
|
looks crazy
|
Cute,
Those pics must be what they model the zip/zap style rc cars of of. :D |
holy shit... that's f-ing hilarious, especially the Ferrari with the guy sitting in it. The 350z doesn't work so well, it looks so chubby normally that compressing it doesn't really have much effect...
|
how cute...looks like hot wheels hot tunerz...look at that little enzo...hahaha

Cool! They look just like Choro Q cars.
|
lol I love that Enzo one! The guy inside doesn't seem to be bothered by how cramped it is in there.
w0rm is right, it's not a simple change of width. I had to create a layer copy of each wheel well and other essentials that I'd like to keep at the original size and then compress the original picture's width. Then, blending in the wheels and other layers is where the trick is. I use a lot of the smudge tool. |
