RX-8 in an accident

I recently got into an accident.. Someone Sideswiped me on the highway in CT .. (HINT Stay away from CT if u have an rx-8)
Most of my damage was done to the driver's side big and small doors.. Apparently the body shop said that mazda doesn't sell the outer skin for the small doors and that i would have to get it replaced.. Seing that the dumb ass already told the insurance company that it was fixable, the insurance won't pay for it to be replaced.. Cost of fixing it was $225 vs $800 for a new door.. Does anyone know y mazda would not sell the outer skin.. and also what strategy can i use to talk my insurance into paying for the replacement of the door ???? I will put pictures up in 3 hrs..

Cpt :-(

Just a guess... but does the fact that the rear door is aluminium have anything to do with it?

o man, thats gay. Whose your insurance company?

The door is made of aluminum. It is almost imposible to fix aluminum panels. A friend of mine with a WRX had to get his hood replaced when he got a dent in it. It too is aluminum.

The insurance company will automatly say no, cant do.

You have call as many people as possible toget it resolved.
I had something similar happened, a squirrel got inside my car and chewed my main wireharness behind the dashboard,
After they got it replaced, the car wouldnt start and the insurance didnt want to pay any more money cause they had already spent over $5,000. It turned out that the wires being chewed cause a electrical shortage and blew my oil metering pump and gas pump.

I called customer service, and raised hell oer the phone, then they said they would redirect me to make a claim with District manager,
After i called the dstrict manager, he called the local manager and made the estimator go back and do a new estimate and based on that they ended paying another $3.000.

Its pretty simple, you just gotta stand up, bitch as much as you can and call as many people possible within your insurance company until someone does something about it.

Insurance companies under legal laws have to replace and repair to original factory conditions or else they have to total the car and pay you blue book value, if your car was damaged, and they did not fix the car to the same conditions as you had it before the accident, you have a strong case in court and believe me, insurance companies prefer spending extra couple of thousand dollars fixing your car than going to court with anyone and pay lawyers and so forth.

Just keep trying buddy, they have to fix your car.

Insurance companies...got love 'em. They love to take your money, but never want to come through when it comes time to do their job.

It's pretty routine to find additional needs or problems as the repair is being done. Insurance companies know this, but it doesn't mean they won't try to weasel out of paying!
