Reeiss's project
This is gonna be my little space one the Internet. My previous car was a 2000 Audi TT, and of course I was on a Ttforum. And I always regreted not making a build thread from when I first started modifi my car.
I've been reading this forum for some time now, and what I found out is that whey you guys are making a build thread, you are totally changing the whole car! I mean: carbon fiber hood, doors and trunks. And big massive turbos (that's actually very cool, but too difficult to do in Norway because of the laws and regulations...) That's why I'm gonna call this thread a project. I'm not in a hurry to get everything done. Btw its a hi power 2004 This is what I've done so far: GTA Car kit EBC brake pads and new rotors Painted the calipers Pioneer AppRadio 2 Kanatec What I want to do to it: Shine Auto Autobahn front and sides Larger muffler tips (Magnaflow maybe?) Lowering Some cool wheels Fender strakes I have the strakes ready to fit them, only need find a good day to do it. Maybe on Saturday. The first photo of my car the day I got it : http://bildr.no/image/1323809.jpeg Rx8 with my old TT http://bildr.no/thumb/1323813.jpeg Changing the brakes http://bildr.no/thumb/1323814.jpeg Rear Yes I now the car is dirty in the two last pics. It's gonna get a god and nice cleaning on Saturday and then I will also try to take some more photos of the car. (Ps: i was writing this on an iPad, and it was a bit of challenge getting the pics in. Hope it turns out ok) |
The top picture won't click. Anyway, thanks for sharing it though.

I'm a little embarrassed about the pictures. I studied photography for three years, so I should know better. But the pictures are just taken with a cell phone. Anyway, now I have ordered items from CorkSport for $ 666 :smoker: |
Now I've ordered a Pioneer AppRadio 2 and Kanatech din2 kit. Now I'm also thinking to install a rear view camera, just because I can :)

Looks good. I like the blue calipers.
|
Thanks! And today the Pioneer HU came, now I'm only waiting for Corksport to send me the rest of what I need.
|
Installing my Pioneer AppRadio 2 with Kanatechs from Corksport and Axxess ASWC.
http://imageshack.us/a/img11/4893/bilde1j.jpg Alot of wiring. http://imageshack.us/a/img32/2053/bilde3n.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img442/6797/bilde4p.jpg It's alive! http://imageshack.us/a/img96/7603/bilde11x.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img708/9416/bilde31.jpg It's all done! http://imageshack.us/a/img543/7529/bilde41.jpg Very happy with the finished product. Tried to change all my interior lightning bright white leds. But when I got to the door, both of the bulbs fell into the door panel... So now I have to take apart the door, but thats okay cuse i have to change the puddle light, Also have to install led under hood lightning. |
Nice! What's next...
|
Thanks!
Today I took apart the door panel to get out the led bulb I lost in there one week ago or so. Anyway now I have complete LED interior and puddle lights, and it feels so more stylish. Have yet to change my license plate bulbs to leds, probably gonna to that after Christmas. http://imageshack.us/a/img651/1116/bilde1y.jpg And one more thing: Installed LED lightning underneath my hood! A very easy thing to do. Got the kit from Corksport. Only problem was that the wire they provided with the kit was too short, but not a big problem. Had some wires laying around after my stereo install. http://imageshack.us/a/img341/3700/bilde2c.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img19/9416/bilde31.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img23/7529/bilde41.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img191/1639/bilde5t.jpg (I know my engine bay is dirty, going to clean it soon) Gonna take some nightphotos of my the LEDS tomorrow or so |
Nice, and it looks like i'm the only one posting on this thread... :scratchhe
Anyway, update us (or just me...lol) with pictures of your future projects. |
I seriously hate the license plates they use in the EURO land, and Scandinavian countries ...
Really do you need a plate 6 feet wide. What a way to ruin a beautiful car. |

Really do you need a plate 6 feet wide. What a way to ruin a beautiful car. Norway offers a small plate, but it's hard to get it. I tried to applied for one. But got denied because "the grill dose not allow air to pass. The plate does not block the airflow" I've been very occupied lastly, bought a boat and a house. I've been trying to get in touch with Shine Auto, but with no luck. Gonna wait till Sunday and buy the kit from them. So nowntings will happen. That's the plan. |

Looking good so far!
|
Pics of the boat and house or it didn't happen and you're just going too slow with the build :p
|
Thank you :)
Here is some quick photos I took on my way back from work. http://img585.imageshack.us/img585/3038/dsc0024fu.jpg Here's the house. Planing to renovate it, build around 1950 by my grandparents. My grandmother was very happy to keep it in the family. Turn around and walk 40 meters: http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/2715/dsc0025ew.jpg Hansvik 700, made in Norway. I know the design isn't very popular outside Norway. But it's strong, can handle a rough storm (but know your limit) and it's not that big but it can do a lot of fishing :) |
Now I wish I didn't live in a big city.
|
Beautiful. Looks cold though,

Thanks 9k :) Isn't that the latest fashion anyway? |
@bse50 Ha! I believe you are referring to Anders Breivik? At least, in his mind, he did it to prevent a war that will come.
For some days ago I heard about some kids that played with a gun in the backyard and one got shoot in America. And this is a sad tragedy... Anyway. Got bored so I placed an order on eBay. This time Ken sent me a text right after and told me that the shipping would be to expensive and canceled my order. Found a dealer in the UK and bought it today. I'm exited :) |
Plasti dipped my emblems black while waiting on my parts. Dont think they have been sent form the UK yet...
http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/6171/dsc0036upp.jpg http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/1789/dsc0035yer.jpg http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/1732/dsc0038og.jpg Uploaded the photos form my phone, not sure how it will turn out. |
While I am badgeless in the back, I too have plastidipped my front emblem. Personally, I like it. Am looking at doing more dipping potentially in the future.
|
I was thinking about doing the same, but only having the "M". But decided not, since I would have to fill in the holes and paint it.
It sure was fun peeling the dip off, very fascinating how it works :-) |
Ordered the Racing Beat Rev8. I know I said that I would only get some muffler tips, but I lied. This is gonna be awesome :)
