Redtails, was bored.

So decided to check out how redtails would work. Hot rod red is the color. Looks good imo. Didnt have enough time to do some COOL pictures, was working a project :naughty:

***Just for you haters out there. Even though you will ignore this bold statement and say it anyways. But...***

I am not going to tint my windows. I think it looks stupid and I will have a autopower bar in hopefully within the month.

So with that being said here we go.

Edit
So today on the way between Subway and Starbucks we took a few pictures. These look a ton better than my shitty digi. Hope this changes some minds. Either way.

Nope. I like shakeyourbrakes deal but not worth it for me.

*edit* edit statement, to ignorant.

WVBoosted8 08-19-2009 12:34 AM

Hell I think they should scrap reverse lights all together and just make everyone reverse into parking spots......oh wait.....

nvrfalter 08-19-2009 12:39 AM

tint the windows hahah

i dont dig the red on your particular car. im thinkin black/smoke would look much better cuz of your paint and wheel color but youre gonna do what youre gonna do

Ross_Dawg 08-19-2009 12:40 AM

looks pretty good... looks kinda thick :dunno:

-RX8- 08-19-2009 12:41 AM

are those the standard 9.5+45 rpf1's? looks more agressive than usual i think. .or its the angles.

I applied it thick because I went really thin but it was purple-red and was hazed. Really the first picture it looks like crap.

I thought about that 'smoked' look but it didnt rub me the right way. I like the black theme I started but I also have added red to the mix.

Fortunate Few 08-19-2009 12:59 AM

not feelin it for our color. but i like your seat ;)

shakeyourbrakes 08-19-2009 01:08 AM

hey i think it looks good on your color car, but they look super red... if you decide to stick with them swing by michaels (art/hobby store chain) and pick up some red stained glass spray (for plastic) thats what ive always used and it gets a great red coat with 1-2 full sprays and a coat of clear paint, or get the jdm red spray it might help you avoid that purplish color you got.
Nice wheels by the way too

RawrX8 08-19-2009 01:11 AM

This is what I used but instead of Candy Apple Red I used Hot Rod Red. Angrybumblebee did candy apple on his BB

i'm not gonna tell u to get tint, but i will tell you to change the color of your taillights.
too red. ugly.

rodjonathan 08-19-2009 06:49 AM

^ i agree but to each his own smoked would go with your rims but if YOU werent feeling the smoked red is good :)

RawrX8 08-19-2009 07:44 AM

I also feel that smoked is to played out. I believe smoking covers the fully red reflectors required to be legal. I already have enough trouble dodging jonny law with my red sparco. Dont need to get them another reason.

rodjonathan 08-19-2009 09:28 AM

^ true its the same here in texas but i always drive with my lights on so they dont seem to worry me

Haha, yeah tint in Texas is nor for looks.

I usually hate painted tails but yours look good with your scheme.

I bet in hotter places tint helps. Its always rainy and depressing here so I dont want to add to it.

Thank you. I had a friend look at this thread and he told me I need to come over so we can take 'real' pictures with his SLR cause my shitty digi doesnt do it justice.

9krpmrx8 08-19-2009 09:52 AM

Yeah more pics would be sweet. Love the rims.

alnielsen 08-19-2009 11:38 AM

You may want to rethink the tinting. Tinted windows will hide the roll bar. This will reduce the attention from the police (you have a race car) and ricers that want to street race.

rodjonathan 08-19-2009 11:43 AM

i dont see a roll bar i do see a racing seat though

On order. Yes tint would hide a lot of what I have. Just not a fan of it nor the loss of visibilty.

Ricers can do what they please. I roll at my own pace and keep the beatin' to the track.

nvrfalter 08-19-2009 12:07 PM

no one said paint em black, just would help a little to slightly darken from the exterior

shazy 08-19-2009 12:08 PM

If it was sightly darker and not as thick it would look great imo.

Nice try nonetheless :)

dondo 08-19-2009 12:10 PM

+1 for smoked but i never liked red tails on any car..

oh, and tint ftw
