this car was built a long time ago i read the article back in 04'. The article states that RE installed an ogura racing single plate clutch, but yet in every interior pic it was clearly an auto which baffeld me for the longest time. And yes it pretty much is just a greddy kit it even uses the e-manage blue in conjunction with the re-amemiya redommini. Also in one of the interior pix you see a greddy profec e-01, which is not only a boost controller but an emanage programmer, so i'm going to assume they basically had to tune the car to it's full paramiters for it to get those numbers.

i like how the title says 256 whp, 325 lb-ft torque NOT FAKE.
|
what does the re-amemiya redommini control if they are using the emanage as well? Are they splitting the timing and fuel maps like you did MM with the int-x?
|
Well, since no one said it in the 2 years that this thread has existed, I'll do it. Why is this is the Multimedia/Photo Gallery section?

MM, okay, time to pounce.

Unless it is running too lean to support combustion, the turbo will still spool. That said, the little tiny turbo in the GReddy kit couldn't lag if it wanted too. I just started tuning an auto with the GReddy kit a few weeks ago on the EMU. I wish it did have some lag so I'd have more time to see what was going on in the logs! Whoever is tuning that EMU needs to take a step away from the laptop. |
meh is apparently word of the month

Apparently, meh = post whore

I would say whoever translated this article did it wrong. it's clearly an auto. look at the at fluid dipstick. Why would you replace a single plate clutch on an auto?
non-laggy turbos are fun! Ecspecially (sp) on autos ! |
Exspecially!
When are we upping the boost on your monster? |

It's been busy lately. I have the tee's, vac hose, and the Catch can plugged and coated.
So if I'm lucky maybe this weekend... Just trying to clean up the loose wire and mount the EMU.. BTW everyone: The EMU does a very good job of handling the management for an Automatic equiped with a Greddy turbo. |
Are you going to make the Peoria show?
ChickenWafer is coming over on Saturday before to do the cooling fan thing. Maybe we could meet up and tie down the loose ends. I think it would be good to have a nice example of a yellow RX-8 AT with the GReddy kit running around that isn't just an over-priced RE Amemiya parts whore. |
I have made plans to be at the Peoria show and to do the fan cooling mod/boost boosting at your place.
Now What time should we be there? |
Saturday the 14th, anytime after 1pm.
Probably pays to do it in the early evening so it is cool, but not too late as to rob us of beauty sleep for the next day! |
All times are GMT -5. The time now is 10:12 AM. |
