VERY SICK RIDE!!!!!! I AM LIKING THE VEILSIDE KIT, MORE & MORE......

murix 03-30-2004 03:55 AM

The Veilside looks much better in Gray without all the decor veilside had on their red show model. I think it is because the gray tends to subdue some of the angles of the kit.

I love the wheels. They work very well with the lines of the car and add a very aggressive and racy look to it.

mmmdowning 03-30-2004 05:32 AM

I just can't get used to big wings.

cosmos 03-30-2004 05:48 AM

Great car! good job!
How much should I pay for this mods?

But, IMO, the rear wing is to big.

OBryanRX8 03-30-2004 05:56 AM

like everything but the wing

XeRo 03-30-2004 07:40 AM

wow...i think this is the first Veilside kit that actually COULD grow on me....they have always been a little to aggressive for me..but the ride looks great...Murix said it best, the Titanium does subdue some of the craziness and add a bit of subtlety to it...although i'm with the majority so far on the wing...YES...when raced really fast it would serve purpose..but it's WAY TO BIG...would be a perfect addition to Central Park...i mean I'd sit on it...heheh...great job guys...

LightEmUp 03-30-2004 07:58 AM

Don't like it, don't like the whole bottlenose effect.

XDEEDUBBX 03-30-2004 08:45 AM

not bad... Rj's always one of the first... can't wait till its done...

XDEEDUBBX 03-30-2004 08:48 AM

so what are your plans for the motor?

LightEmUp 03-30-2004 09:05 AM

And shouldn't they be sporting those tizzight motegi rims?? It is RJ de vera and all.

Shocka 03-30-2004 09:22 AM

personally i think the kit is too crazy for me..

MyRxBad 03-30-2004 09:40 AM

Sorry, I don't like it at all. Good job on the rims and big brake install.
But I'm curious if the motor is still stock, and what the curb weight of that car is now with all that added stuff.
Just wondering if it's slower then stock or comparable otherwise there is no reason for the big brakes and the car will be slower.

AlexCisneros 03-30-2004 09:53 AM

Do they sell the kits in parts? I really like what you've done to your car, but I am a bit more conservative...

...just a bit ;)

I really like those side skirts :D how much for just them?

SHOWOFF 03-30-2004 10:53 AM

Why doesn't RJ have a set of RO_JA's on there. I have a set on the way, Formula 7's. 19x10 baby. I still wouldn't mind a set of Volks.

That car is tight. I am so glad I bought the titanium.

roboracer 03-30-2004 11:12 AM

once you put in the grill i think it will look much better, because the bodyit is so aggresive i think the red works better with it, but its nice in titanium too

rx8fosho 03-30-2004 11:23 AM

love the rims, and i like how you kept the design on the hood, i don't like how the front lip bends up in the middle nor the shark like fins on the back bumper...just my 2cents

Pete 03-30-2004 12:16 PM

don't like the wing ..... everything else looks ok. I'm not one for crazy body kits anymore. Been there, done that with my 1997 BMW.

shawrf1 03-30-2004 12:31 PM

Lightemup: Hold your sarcasm until you see the new Ro_Ja/RAYS private-label wheel we debut at IAS 2-4 April... ;) The TE-37s are my personal wheels & Ro_Ja Formula 2's will be on the car for IAS... anyways, can't please everyone!

MyRxBad: Thanks for your concern! The motor is still stock and power issues have been planned out. It's all done in stages, albeit haphazard ones.

All: Thanks for taking the time to post your opinions! I am currently doing a one-year tour in Korea, so these pics you see are the closest I'll get to the car for awhile. Personally, I wasn't fully in love with the kit until I received these initial photos. Click on my website button for a resume of sorts.

The kit is the full Veilside D1-GT body kit w/Type III CF Spoiler, courtesy of Veilside Japan/USA. Brakes, exhaust, and subsequent GReddy products are courtesy of GReddy Performance Products, USA.

Sorry, but parts prices can be best addressed by your local vendor.
