Huff - That is without question the best looking 8 I have ever seen. I'm not a big fan of the Ti, but that looks incredible. What nose do you have?

I'll be waiting for the turbo kit review on your site. I'm loving mine. I'm thinking about getting the PWR radiator to keep my engine cool in the Texas summer.

Do they have a fiberglass version of that hood?

hmm i don't think they do. i have the same as huff. only CF actually. Rmagic some the same hood. ithink...not too sure like this in fiberglass...

rmagic does have a fiber glass hood but its like 1500.00

you could just buy this cf hood and paint it for cheaper

Looks good Huff. I'm still not crazy about the CF hood (looks like there is a slight fit issue from the side view) as I have said before, but your 8 looks really nice with the kit and especially the way the intercooler sits right up there in the opening perfectly. I also am still undecided about the side mirrors overall, but they do look sharp on your 8! The wheels look really great too.

Congrats on building up a nice car! Hopefully you'll give some info on the performance increase. Dyno sheets, how much boost, etc........

Man, guys...so many compliments...thank you all. Hear's what I've got to say about the situation so far. The turbo has finally reached the 200 mi brake in mark since installation and the CEL seemed to have vanished coincedently just as the 200 mi mark hit. So far hasn't come back. It starts to build boost at half throttle around 2700 rpm and starts pulling about 3000-3200 rpm. The added torque is obvious. It tends to stumble abit in mid range but it's somewhat random. Just running very rich in the meat of the power band. Still haven't taken it to red line yet and it's been about 250 mi so far. (i live close to work) GReddy is already on top of the situation and has made changes in the map for the E Manage. I'm sending it in for them to reprogram and they'll send it back, plug'n play.

The GReddy RS BOV is working well and needs to be set at a soft setting for best results. At least right now. The sound is amplified but not like a wistle sound. The hood seems to be doing it's job as I can see the heat vapors coming form all the vents. No more gap either, I fixed it. The PWR radiator is DEFINETLY a good idea for anyone with or wanting a turbo.

I'm getting very antsy and I want to just honk on this thing and let her rip but I will wait till the new mapping is done.

The bumper/intercooler contact points were freaking me out cuz I didn't really want to cut the bumper unless I really had to. I got lucky. The intercooler bolts onto the crash beam at the nose of the car, but I removed that, so the intercooler ended up mounting about 4 " closer to the engine bay. We rotated the hangers to drop it another inch or two and just hoped for the best...it went on like a glove and still left a large enough gap to alow for vibration and some movement.

All in all the turbo kit was a step by step success and I am still being impressed by it and it's potencial.

Any more info on this.... who do we talk to, what symptons will it fix, and how long for them to send it back?

I got ahold of Benny at Greddy and he did say there is an update to the map. I'll be sending mine in soon. He said it fixes some issues with the mid rpm's, coasting backfiring, and the cruise control problem.

If your car was boobies, it would be a set of perfect C's. Truly one of the best built RX8s I've seen.

I drove a Evo for awhile, and the turbo kicked in at 3500, and that was quite a kick. How does this one compare?

If anyone from GReddy is reading this and wants to sponsor someone in IOWA (yes Iowa), I'd be more than happy to be a test mule.

Yep me too. Same symtoms. It's going back to Benny monday. It's tough to plan cuz the car is down for at min 3 days.

Evo's have a more violent surge when reaching full boost. Of course the AWD does help. An amazingly poweful accelerating at full boost on a modified EVO like the Vivid EVO.

The 8's rpm band now has a defined torque cuve. It puts you back into the seat but nice and easily, but not like an EVO.
