Recently purchased a canon t3i, been reading the manuel a lot, figuring out the whole exposure, metering, aperture, iso, and etc... so i decided to practice a bit on my car, since i had nothing better to do. excuse the dirty car. Criticism welcomed, i will say this, i am looking for fatter tires to put on. just in my defense haha. Attachment 228646

Awesome shots man and great looking s2!! I'm looking at buying the exact same camera! Do you recommend?
|
Definitely a camera worth buying. I suggest reading the manuel to learn what each mode does. Its a bit of reading but once you more or less get the point of it, it turns into a very fun hobby.
|
Looks good!

A decent first time shots. A bit overexposed. Look into buying a polarizer. It'll change your car photos dramatically.
Here's what I have. Amazon.com: B+W 77mm Circular Polarizer with Multi-Resistant Coating: Camera & Photo |
Oh nice, thanks for the heads up on the polarizer. Already added to my wish list.

As stated, a bit overexposed. Do you have photoshop or anything that allows you to manipulate the .RAW file? Pretty sure most DSLRs come with something basic to do it that lets you change values for brightness, exposure, contrast and other nifty things to make your photos come out better.
|
I use lightroom for raw files. My T1i came with some program to do the same thing basically so I assume your T3i would have something along those lines. 8 looks good though
|
nice pictures, thanks for sharing

Check it out, free photoshop direct from Adobe, and many other applications. Adobe - CS2 Downloads
|
oh nice, I never knew they had it as a free download. Thanks for the heads up alt

Not bad for a first timer. You'll learn as you play with it. Lightroom is great for basic post-editing, but with 'resources' such as torrents, you can easily find big boy tools from Adobe for free. You didn't hear that from me though  .
Love the Works btw. |
Nice car man!

Nice pictures man! Your tail light sticker cracked my up  Where did you find that???
|
Really nice pictures!! I like Your sticer on tail light!
