--------------My weekend project.------------------

Well Guys i'm posting to share with you guys. I had a pair of borken clear corners so i decided to do a project. here is some pics.

Now that i have done my trial and error, I feel like the next pair I will do will be flawless and improved...

Did you drill holes for individual LEDs? You may want to look into LED strips, that way you only have to deal with one pair of wires and they will be evenly spaced and in a straight line. Good try though. I've been thinking about doing this with while LEDs.

Agreed not feeling it at all, doesnt even look remotely good,,, it might have if the holes were in a straight line or followed the upswing of the profile of the lights...

Interesting idea, poor execution I'd say.

But new advancements are ideas are always important to innovation, so keep the thinking up.

led bulb is better, but interested to see the improved ones

Not too bad for a trial run. Would like to see how a clean setup will look.

Blue LEDs would be purdy!

I agree with the LED strip idea- especially if it followed the upswing of the lights like Rotr8 said..that would be pretty cool.

interesting idea..

I'd like to see 2 rows of LED's, and they need to throw more light then those ones. Those LED's don't seem to light up the corner much.

Nice concept though.

lepichichi 02-08-2009 12:16 PM

not my taste... but if you like it go with it!

nvrfalter 02-08-2009 01:30 PM

yeah too many wires / too many holes / not very straight- made it hard on yourself. led strip as said above would eliminate all of these issues

NYC Drift King 02-11-2009 06:22 PM

Yea you guys are all right. My next project will def be better.

PSTNLSS 02-12-2009 05:47 PM

I saw them in person Sunday they did not look half bad for a prototype. I like the idea, good effort Omar!.

Thanks man. I telling everyone my next one will be OFFICIAL! I had never attempted something like this, but I now have some experience, and good advice by some. So i expect the best.

think you need more LEDs in the corner.. maybe either with the curve of the clear corner and 2 rows of LEDs with double the LEDs in the current row?

krijpipudht 02-12-2009 08:53 PM

^ +1

You need more LEDs.
