I got this car last year in April. Heres a picture of it when I first got it. Just any ordinary RX8

I had big dreams of this car so I worked alot for it. I read all the forums and wanted to make it look different. I didnt take my chances buying a bodykit from the US because of fitment problems. so I saved up the money to get my parts imported from japan instead. I do not regret it. I do not care if anyone tells me im spending too much on this car. its a hobby and I love it. I ordered my body kit in march and I didnt receive everything till July :wallbash: I was so anxious for the kit. I took it to a couple shops and then I called my cousin since the prices I was getting around were insane. he hooked me up

Front bumper, hood and side skirts installed(Notice that my cousin cleaned the headlights VERY nicely) I as thinking of getting the whole car repainted white but I wanted to be a ricer and keep my car yellow since my seats are yellow :)

This is the rear bumper and spoiler. at this point I was scared as s*** because it was hard to tell how it would come out without the carbon fiber and paint. Took it to the shop after this pic

This was right after the paint job. it looks wierd and plain because I told them to just pain the whole thing yellow since they would charge me BS to put a little bit of black. so I let my cousin handle that

I am so happy with it. I get alot of attention. I still have a BBK being painted atm because k sport didnt have the color I wanted them in. I am aslo changing the rims. The car is not perfect but It is wonderful for what I paid for it.:us4allswi

I've always been a fan of those style hoods. Reminds me of the one for the RX-7. Is this your DD? If so I'd be a little concerned about water hitting that filter.

No I have another car that I drive. I barely drive this anymore just because theres so much invested in it

For the most part, everything looks good, except I think the lip and the panel in front of the rear wheels looked better yellow.

looks great!! I love how you tied the black in togethor, its suprising that the carbon fiber lip for the r-magic goes great with the veilside sideskirts, great job man, now wheels and lowered!!

I thought the same but the thing is the sideskirts stick out too much. and I would need to get spacers unless I had 9.5 wheels. When I looked at it directly from the back, you would see the sideskirt edge stick out and its barely noticeable black

Where I live these cars are very rare. In a town of 12000 I have the only one and the next closest city has about 65000 people and there are two there. Oklahoma is a a poor place for these cars because well basically our roads are designed by third graders or might as well be. Plus this one being the only 08 tri rotor 2.0 turbo I've ever seen and yes I bought it new thay way special order. And was 15000 more than its smaller 1.3 renesys brother but has carbon panels and is much lighter and producing over 350 hp much faster than the normal 8. The fun comes in when some guys girlfriend or wife stops to ask if they can take a picture sitting in it or next to it the guys get so pissed haha.

OK, time for someone to call bullshit.

You did not 'bought it new that way' and there was no Special Order.

It's bullshit, you drive a bone stock automatic and live in small-town Oklahoma, but on the internet you are a "world class auto tech" and decimate Camaros with your factory tri-rotor.

You'd have to assume that a forum specializing in RX-8s might have heard if the factory made a few special order Three-Rotor models.

You'd have to also assume that any member of a forum would have access to all your previous posts, like the one where you brag about losing a drag race to an SRT Neon with your (quote) stock automatic (unquote).

Please stop, this is not a new fantasy, every car forum gets them.

I love when people do that. Especially when all they really know is what they have read online. Probably haven't heard of a mazda Furai 4.0 rotor either I'm guessing. Go ahead and Google it and then post how you know everything yet again. Bottom line is there are always cars out there no one knew existed until one turns up. Just because you haven't seen or heard of one doesn't mean it doesn't exist. This car was purchased originally with the intent on using it for road racing but during the process decided to go with a 911 turbo and send it to RUF before putting it on the track so the mazda ended up having the gt package installed and put into use as a street toy. I'm sure you didn't take into consideration that someone may actually have a race team and you can order cars a certain way for that purpose if you are properly liscence and have the right contacts for different circuits but I'm sure you already know all of that too.

Then im.sure you've also seen the other post of building several custom rotates and noting I own 4 Rx8s and the stock one is just a gt package auto Trans car thay my brother now drives. So before running your mouth you might want to make sure you have all of the facts

When you have money you can do pretty much anything. Quite honestly go ahead and kick me out. I know more about these cars and their drive trains and how to repair maintain and build them than 95% of you so I really just joined to help those that had questions.
