I like the two tone.. just wish ya stopped the two tone at the trunk and not have it go onto the bumper. Just my personal taste atleast :)

The back was my friends idea (the one that did all the paint)

It's different, obviously custom, but still far from rice. It looks very good. I'd;ve stopped the 2 tone at the trunk, or let it go all the way down, but it's a nice car. The front is killer and the painted section of hood is really nice too.

I think the rear is something that will "grow" to be liked. ALOT of people criticised my cars rear end (had to clarify the CARS rear end and not mine hahaha) At first i was like hmmm looks a bit odd.. but after lookin at it for ages u get used to it lol so did every1 else!

Looks great man =)....have me wanting to purchase the RB nose now!!....but like others said paint either all the way down or stop at trunk....though maybe it would look better in person =P

Car looks great! Just some feedback, I don't think you are doing the car justice from some of the angles you took the pics.
Take some pics with a front/side profile at the same time but try to be elevated like from some stairs or something. I always loved that front, good luck with the new paintjob! Anthony |
The trunk looks like you crashed your car, and had to buy a new trunk, but couldn't find one your car's color.

I am very happy with how everything turned out. As to someone not liking the rims.... that is my favorite part!!!! As to everyone not liking the back bumper.... maybe you just have to see it in person. But, the feedback I've got (-here) has been really positive on it. It is really growing on me. I will post some new pictures some other time... I think I've posted enough pictures for now. They are going to put me on the spammer black list!! :dunno: Th openings on the very bottom will help some extra air get to the radiator/oil coolers. The black plastic underbody bolts up to the very bottom of the bumper, so part of the air going through there will make it up to those parts. |
So how did you hit the barbed wire fence? Some nasty scratches.

Wellp, here was the senario...
2 bald rear tires. Wet road. Slight curve inthe road. I lost traction on the back tires and was going backwards in about .0001 seconds in the ditch heading for this drainage pipe. The car swung back around ad I was able to steer around the pipe, swung back around again and into the fence I went. The top strand of barbed wired was on top of my car right at the end of the front doors (and scratched my hood/door when I opened it). The middle piece of barbed wire caught across my trunk, and the lower one scratched up the back bumper pretty good. The wooden post of the fence caught my quarter panel just before my left rear wheel. The barbed wire as kind of a god send, as it caught me from going any further out into the field, I can't imagine the damage if it were a wooden/metal fence. Some guys stopped and pushed on the back so I could get unstuck and scoot out of the ditch. The lesson of the day: It made me realize even with all the stuff you'll see happen on the news (haha) that there are still a bunch of honest good people out there. There wasn't but 1 car that didn't stop and ask if I was alright or if I needed to use their phone. The first one let me sit in his car with the A/C and bum a cig. :) |

wow this is the first RB 8 i have seen besides at sevenstock...i was wathcing your thread about the fitment. everything looks great but the rear end and the paint is aaa... very kind of different. koudos non the less to you.

For those of you that are looking at the RB front and sides, it's missing the rear aero-flares.

Looks good. The bumper paint makes the trunk color look like it's on purpose (which it is obviously). I really like the accent in the hood and the little RX-8 logo on the front fenders. Interesting choice to leave the RX-8 badge off the trunk but keep the rest of the badges.

not too bad, but the "custom paint" looks kinda funky, but atleast its not an outrageous color..
